I purchased the Holley Sniper EFI kit from Wildhorses 4X4 last May down in Moab Utah at Bronco Safari. Almost a year later here I am starting the install before the 2022 Bronco Safari in May. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. I will have many questions I'm sure. First one being this, i was running a HEI distributor and the Holley kit distributor needs an external coil it looks like

Someone can call me an idiot here in a bit, but I wouldn't think you have to change... Running a HEI with a cap mounted coil correct?

I would think the Wildhorse kit would come with the external coil. I'll be calling them later today

Does not need external coil. Just the tach signal off the HEI. It won't give computer controlled timing, don't worry about that right now. Just get it on and running and deal with the timing another day, or another year.

When you get tired of the touchy throttle, get a progressive linkage kit. This kills the function of the ported vacuum advance port and will be the time you also convert to computer controlled timing.

Good advice here.
But, I would suggest trying a throttle extension before the progressive linkage. You can buy, or make the throttle extension yourself, and it does‘t require any config file setting or tuning changes.

I added the progressive linkage already

Question....... In the instruction manual it says to connect the pink wires to CLEAN Ignition. Can I hook this up to the switched 12V that the old HEI distributor was connected to the B+ ??
Thanks

Those need 12v on ignition and while cranking. As long as that terminal does both, it would seem logical...

Someone might chime in a say if that's a bad idea...

So, your ditching the old distributor?

I would consider putting those on a fused circuit though, just a thought.
