How do I soften my ride?

It’s killing me. Put in a 2.5 lift a few years ago. Nothing special just the basic one from Jeff’s BG. What are my options to make this better. Different shocks? Remove all but one leaf spring ?
Not hauling or pulling anything
Thx.

How did it ride before you did the lift? Have you played with your tire pressure? How old are the shocks?

How was the rear lift done? Blocks? Add-a-leaf (short or long)? New springs?

First thing I would do is take the shocks off. If it is all floaty and super soft, You are chasing a stiff shock issue.
But if it is still stiff, chasing shocks at this point is worthless. You need to go after the springs.

And do you have any traction aids? tractions bars or something like that? Those can bind the suspension. Works great for drag racing, sucks for ride.

When you say basic lift from jbg does that mean their cheaper lift? Didn't or does jeffs still sell a basic lift using superlift springs like you would get from 4wp that drives like crap? I seem to remember something like that. Then they also sell a nicer lift with the softer eb specific springs like all the other vendors. If so there's the problem.

I just looked at a picture of the rear springs and it appears to be a four leaf pack plus overload and a nice big thick juicy add a leaf stuck in between. A really thick one!

I’d have to assume that this is at least where some of the stiffness is coming from.

You mean a solid, rigid, non-flexible bar of steel might be responsible for the suspension being locked up solid?

Well I don’t know… It seemed perfectly logical that because they worked so well when used as an overload on an F250 Highboy, that they would serve equally well to shore up springs on a Bronco!😁
