How much does exhaust redo cost?

I've come to discover that my dual exhaust is not only interfering with the upward travel of my rear axle, it's pinched off the differential vent line and it's rubbing one of the brake hard lines.
I think I have decided to route my exhaust out the side in front of the rear tires.
I was just wondering what a good exhaust redo is costing these days if anybody has any input?

Thanks,
JB

It shouldn't be much $ to redo the route from the mufflers. I'd recommend going to a local shop for rates or an estimate. labor rates vary a lot by state.

I took mine to a local guy a couple years back. I wanted dual exhaust from headers back, with new mufflers and cross-over.
We worked out the path(s) together; total was around $550.

In front of rear tires is quite a bit louder for driver & passenger's.
People seem to agree that out the side is best way to eliminate exhaust smell, plus with my clearance issues, I just don't want it over the axle any more. I have pretty quiet mufflers.

I recently paid 250 for 2.5” duals from manifolds to behind the rear tires including mufflers. Local shop that is aways busy and does outstandingly good work. All aluminized steel tube machine bent. Your price will vary im sure.

Exhaust shops in my part of the country are MUCH more expensive than that. One of my recent projects was a '64 Chevy C10 short bed. I paid $1100 for headers back with Flow-master knock-offs. The other shops around here that do quality work wanted even more.

So for the Bronco, I bought an aluminized dual kit from Duff. Just about finished installing today, but haven't fired it up yet. A little fussy to fit, but looks like it won't interfere with anything. Still goes over the axle and out the rear corners. I'm happy with how it fits. Price varies depending on choice of muffler and what headers or manifolds you have. Mine on the holiday specials was $685 shipped from NC to OR.

Oof...shipping coast to coast could not have been cheap, but it would be that or more local to me here in OR to get a similar exhaust built and installed.

Yeah, the shipping was ~$125 of it. I've finished it now, and it's a pretty good package for DIY. And yes, to have something similar bent and installed near Eugene would have been a lot more.

I have more questions than answers.
If you are having issues with up travel, that sounds like you plan on taking it off road. I would go with pre bent and do it myself. Should be under a $100 buying locally. In front of the wheels is not complicated or difficult.

I tend to buy a box of mandrel bends and build my own. Have a box sitting in the garage that is for a project that has way too much procrastination involved.

My rig from a decade or so ago. Same system currently - I'm working to put it back on the road. (With no crossover it was super easy to unbolt at long tube headers to do my AX15 swap...)

In the summertime it gasses you out driving. Actually, at that time I took the photo... It did too year round, with virtually non-existent door rubber. Haha.

It's also loud with the current muffler setup... Long tube headers, and free flowing mufflers.

My thought is to do a single out behind the passenger tire I believe - 2 or 2.5" TBD. I want my wife to enjoy driving in it, too...
