Tell her you are thinking of selling the first one to start another project. After you pick up the second tell her after looking at what people offering it's crazy. There is no way you are gonna take that kind of loss I'll just keep it until things get better.

Before I got married ten years ago, I showed my wife all of my vehicles. I had five at the time. I told her that they were not going away and that they would multiply. She agreed to this " Verbal Prenup" of sorts and I'm sure she thought it was a joke. I have reminded her of the conversation several times.

That said, the second Bronco at my house was her idea. She loved the idea because Bronco #2 is my daily driver and it did not require another car payment. Now, when I need to buy something, I reminder her how much cheaper my Bronco is than her Expedition.

one more...." would you rather her have you in the garage or in the bar?"..... Tell her it is for her own peace of mind, you will be there to work on it. Simple.

2 ways,

Make her understand an early bronco is an investment. Unless you destroy the thing, you can always get your money back.

Number two is, if you have a kid, tell her you wanna start building something for the son daughter when they get old enough.

My argument to get a 2nd Bronco was that I had already put a couple of small dents and scratches in the good Bronco and I needed one for the trails so I wouldn't care if it got dented. My argument for the 3rd Bronco was to buy a 66 to fix it up for my son (he's married, in the Air Force in Alaska and I still have the Bronco!). My argument for the 4th Bronco was that I needed a big Bronco to tow the trail rig to the trails since we are probably going to sell the Durango some time soon and get a smaller family SUV. So my current project is a 78. My wife is great - she agreed to all of them! ;D

Oh and my argument to get an RV was to allow her camp more comfortably at Bronco events - and she loves the RV!

Actually I try to get her involved - she's made a bikini top for the trail rig and helped wet sand it last time I painted it.

But I have not thought of a good reason for a 5th Bronco yet. ?:?

what i did.. let my step son total my daily driver jeep cherokee, then I made him by a $900 pickup and I needed a daily driver for work because I cant drive the 70 stock bronco in bad weather.. so for my daily driver I got a bronco because I already knew how to work on them and I already had some spare parts.. plus i pointed out the 8k i have lost on her trade in's over the past years..

:) my husband bought his first bronco a 76,about 3yrs ago. hes constently wrenching on it 24/7.ive even found him working on it when he shouldnt have been walking.(he was hurt in an accident) i love the look on his face while hes working on her. we went to our first bronco event this year, the byob, there were sooooo many eb's there all different, all amazing.everyone was so friendly, really and truely like a family.now i have to tell you i love driving my husbands eb and it is not driver friendly.soon after the byob we picked up my 74 and both our boys will have one themseves after mine is done.maybe bringing her to some events will bring her around and you might really have to build her a truck and make the trail rig the 3rd project.all i know is that if something makes you that happy she should understand you.

Wait a minute, your signature says, "75 bronco, 347 stroker, nv3550, rockproof steering, 4.5" lift, 35 goodyear MTR's". That is a trail rig. Why not just wheel the one one you have. You can just keep adding performance parts and no one will ever know!!!

This is my daily driver, I love upgrading everything I own. I think it is an addiction I have. I dont wheel it to hard due to the $4,500 worth of paint, rust repair and interior I spent on it. I have thought about putting the drivetrain in my trail rig if I can find an automatic bronco to switch with.

OK try this, ask if you can build a buggy for wheeling, so you don't damage your $4.5K paint job, and start with the front half of a bronco frame, link the rear, and design it so you can add a bronco grill and fenders when your done ;D
