Looks like I finally found a set of HPd60s out of a 79 Ford around here. I know that the drivers side axle tube will be longer from the pumkin then the 80's but I dont know the length of the the 80's. Sooo.. can any one tell me what the length of the tube is or any other way to tell if it is the pain in the ass to find axle? If Z-one311 reads this I am not saying they are not I just want to make sure. Thanks bronco bros ;)

The drivers side axle tube on the 78/79 will be about 6 inches long. On the newer D60's it's abot 3 inches long.

Just to be safe, get the BOM numbers and post them here and I can tell you exactly what they came from.

Ha ha ha i am sorry to make a fellow eb owner doubt what he thinks is fact. We have all been there a few times trust me. I just didn't want you to make the same mistake alot of people do and think because it has the big hubs and is in a f350 it is a dana 60. They weren't easy to find these days. And if you do find one hold on to it. But if there is any doubt. Just pair it up with a dana heavy duty 44 and you will see the difference. If you can't it isn't a dana 60HP front end. And why would you not want me to see this. It's not like i am going to say ha ha ha i was right. I really wish i wasn't. It cost me 800 dollars once. And a king pin front end because i thought or trusted my deisel mechanic dad and put a danahd 44 up as a dana 60 by mistake. I hope you really had a dana 60.If you don't there was a complete truck on ksl for 800-1000 with a dana 60 kingping front end. I believe it was a 91 f350.
