hub lockout, number of bolts for different years?

There is a set of '68 NOS hub lockouts on ebay but they have 6 hex bolt holes whereas my '75 lockout hubs have 5. What year did they change and why the difference? Is it a Dana 30 vs 44 thing?

In '66 there were 3 screws. Later years had a different hub and used 6 screws. Never seen a hub with 5 screws, unless one was missing.

You're right. Just looked and my lockouts do in fact have 6. Don't know why I thought 5. Brain fart.

The original Warn hubs in the early years had 8 screws.
