well, still not 100% sure that I will cut her... yet.;D maybe I should sell the flares before I do something brash.
but for now I've bought her a little time. did some Bronco shuffling in the garage tonight. going to tinker on the 69 a bit. hoping to make both of them roadworthy by the fall.%) the 70 will stay intact and original... for now, and the 69...well, let's just say it will be slimming down a bit.

OK, got some space back in the garage today. actually got quite a bit done. after tearing apart the green 69 and finding lots more bad stuff I decided it would be best to merge it's tub with the 76 chassis I have for a trail rig project later down the road. but...before I could move it out of the garage I decided I needed to poach the rear axle for the 70.
it is a big bearing rear with 4.11 gears and factory limited slip. trouble is I need to still be able to move it around..... so.....first up, remove the small bearing, open diff, rear axle from the 70.

now on to the 69, first, I finally cut off the special dual hitch rear bumper.;D

then for the axle I thought I would have to cut everything to get this one out what with all the rust. but surprisingly almost everything came undone, I did brake one upper shock mount stud.

Then all that was left was to put the small bearing axle under the 69, hook up the drive shaft, drive it out back into storage and clean up the garage. everything went much smoother than I thought it would today.

Thanks! now I really need to keep moving, Bronco is pretty much stuck in one place until I get some new suspension installed and clean up, reseal and paint the axle.
