I have yet to keep one...... but the idea is to make it into several configurations..... keep it looking different..... so I don't get eyes for a different project.

Is there a Dairy Queen in Dresser? ;D I'll drive it there..... then hop in your Bronco for the trails.

Yesterday I tore down some doors to get painted.
The idea is to have two sets of doors.
Shaved doors for the summer cruizin', and full doors for the spring and fall for a sealed up cab.

Off to paint today!

I also have a a glove box door that didn't get painted as well :(

Look who came out of the garage in the Minnesota 55 degree heat!

Took it for a spin around the neighborhood! Had to buzz by the new CJ8 on the block (see in the background)

I keep the windshield down.... not that it mattered... no glass yet. What a blast. I need to finish this thing!

Mono, that looks great! Can you confirm the color? I am going to do my 74 stock color I think which may be the one you painted yours or very close.

Finally connected with the painter to get the color code.

Med Green Glow
Code 48

Dude, it's looking great! Do you happen to have a code for the off-white color as well?

For $9000, you can have the Bronc-. Then you won't need paint codes ;D.

It's FORD Wimbledon white. Stock color for all the off-white from '66-'77 (Hard tops, Grills, Door panles, Dash, etc...)

Went parts scavenging today....

Came back with:

2 windshield frames
1 Dash
1 Rear bumper
1 New spare

I needed the good glass, wiper set-ups (choice between vacuum and electric between the 2 frames), spare tire to bolt to the bulkhead, and dash indicator lights.

She's coming together!

Question about the cost of the paint. Did you do all the prep on the body and they just cleaned and painted or how much body work did they do for that cost? It looks really good and an awsome color. Very cool.

Paint has got to be the budget killer.
Quoted $1500 for paint.
Paid extra to straighten out the panels $1000.
$500 for the bedliner
$600 for the half cab
$300 for the bulkhead, and extra door panels
$500 for the doors I just picked up. I dropped them off as-shown.

I'm not going to add it up. I'll cry

They did all the body work with the above prices.
