Nyles will be double happy then, got mine today:cool:

If we lived a little closer together we could have a chunk building party. I just ordered a pinion depth kit to make a whole lot easier.

Should've used this style flange. The flange is supposed to slip inside the i.d. of the tube, and weld on the shoulder that's beveled. Not butt welded.

You could have done the same thing with the stock flanges by sectioning out a section of the axle tube and butt welding the flange and tube back together.

What size tube are those made for? The ones I used were for 3" OD tubes. The tube on my new housing is 3-1/4".

well, I just realized something this morning. My wife and kids are going to the zoo to see their Nana this weekend. wait...

They are going to see their Nana at the zoo. ??

Their Nana is going to meet them in DFW this Friday morning and spend the weekend in the area spending time with each other.

Which means that I will be at home by myself. And tracking numbers show that the locker will be delivered today... which means I can run one more weld around the housing, finish it up, then start on the third member while the housing cools. Should be a productive weekend.

Looks like someone copied the basic idea of the RuffStuff 2+ which allows the axle to be moved back 1, 2 or 3 inches.

That's probably where I'd seen it before... now I've got to find their price. This ones a bit steep and I need to order tonight to get it installed this weekend.

The RuffStuff is a bit more but looks better constructed to me.

I used to build those years ago before anyone produced much for parts. I found it to help some with axle wrap.

Good point. But I'm in an auto so I don't deal with it... yet. But I AM going to 5.13 gears....
