I just finished installing a new rear main seal. I also put in a new pcv valv that has a line running to a vaccum port on my carb. Now oil blows through the dipstick when under a load...not at idle. Before the pcv valve it was just venting into the aircleane (ok...no aircleaner at tue time....just vented out to nowh ere r and the motor didnt blow oil at all)
....should i just delete the valve

One of the valve covers should allow fresh air in, filtered air from the air cleaner or a filtered cap.

Do you have a vent on the other valve cover?

If you have a PCV valve on one side then the other valve cover should be vented or plumbed to the aircleaner.

Unfortunately it may also be blow by from worn piston rings, hope that aint the case. A leak down test would check for this.

Sounds like you are dealing with an incorrect PCV system and/or engine wear.

Correct PCV is a system, not just a valve.
Fresh air enters one valve cover through a filtered breather or a line going to the air cleaner.
The other valve cover has the PCV that is connected to manifold vacuum.
Air is sucked in one side, picks up blowby and moisture from combustion byproducts, gets sucked through the PCV to be burned in the engine.
Under load the PCV shuts down and blowby is vented through the fresh air inlet (now as an outlet).

Since you mention just changing the PCV I am especially learry of the system being set up right. Blowing out a rear main is a common failure point when the PCV system isn't working right.

Well, I removed the PVC valve and just let it stay opened up, I got on the road and hammered it pretty hard and no oil out of the dipstick...I think I'm just going to plumb it to the air cleaner instead of manifold vaccum, I think it was originally piped to the original air cleaner not sure though. I changed the rear main...because i failed to remove the pin in the cap that held the old rope seal in...so it got deformed and leaked after about a week of driving.
