I am about to install my cam synchro, so I wanted to fill the oil pan up and get the oil pump primed. I saw the whole counter clockwise and drill method. But my question is can I prime it now and not run the motor for a few months?
I think since the oil pan is full of oil and then priming the pump it should stay primed but then again I've done this. I can't seem to find anything other then priming it right before firing it up any advice? I was even think maybe I prime the pump and then load up the synchros bushings and gear with assembly lube. I don't think I will be firing this thing up until the end of summer
I beleive the oil pump sits under the level of oil in the pan so it should stay primed but please share your thoughts.!!
