On Tom's Dana 44 Front End What is this??

Threaded opening. What is this for? Each ball joint has its own zirc fitting, so not sure what this is for.

That looks like the hole where the bracket that held the drum brake hose was originally attached?

Agree. Not used in disc brake setups.
