when i turn on the high beams, only the passenger side light stays on and the drivers side headlight turns off completely. the truck has a new alternator, battery, volt regulator, headlight switch and dimmer switch. not sure what else the problem could be coming from. any help would be appreciated thanks

The high beam uses it’s own filament, different from the low beam. It could be that the filament wore out or broke on just that one side. To see if it is a bulb problem, or a wiring problem. Switch that headlight over to the passenger side and see if the high beam still doesn’t work. If high beam is out on pass side after the bulb gets moved, it’s the light or bulb (depending on which kind you have). If it works on the passenger side, then start looking at wiring, make sure your grounds are good too.

Hi, I would pull the plug off the back of the headlight and check the plug for current with my test light before buying a new headlight. I think you can pull the plug with out removing the bulb. Good luck

Squirrels messed mine up.
The little stinkers chewed up the wiring at the plugs for the headlights. Fortunately NAPA had replacement pigtails.
