Radius arm bushings / washers

I got my radius arms within 1/8” of parallel and wrestled them back into the brackets.

I installed the WH bushings and radius arm hardware kit with the supplied washers and the castle nut was on way too far to use the hole for the pin. I went through my take-offs and found the thick original washers and added them, but the hole in the rod is still just beyond the castle nut…

Do I have this installed correctly? Should I just go get another thick washer and add it?

Looking back it looks like the original assembly had an even thicker washer on the inside / in the first position. I can’t seem to find those in my pile… 🤦‍♂️

Is the WH washer good enough in that position or do I need to put the big washer on first?

Even Duffs includes the incorrect washers. They can work but clearly the oe washers are made for the bushings .. the rear washer should bottom out on the shoulder of the radius arm , meaning the washer won’t slide over the bushing shoulder area,, and the oe nut will line up with the hole ,, Are you using the OE castle nut your first pic looks like it’s not ,

I’m using the castle nuts that came in the WH kit. I just looked and the original castle nuts do look taller, so maybe swapping those will work.

I guess the main question is if the front WH washer is good/strong enough or do I need to find and put the original washers on the front?

The other washer isn't "thicker", it's just cupped. Mine isn't quite as deep as yours (but I haven't torqued them yet or really even tightened them down), but I assume it's because you got the angle bushings for a lift like I did so it's not quite as thick of a bushing.) I was going to blue locktite and put the pin in as a back up so the castle nut wouldn't ever back completely out, but you might want to check with WH.

Where did you get your washers and castle nuts? They look like the original but new.

I confirmed with Wild Horses that their washer is sufficient for either end, in terms of strength.

The stock castle nuts are much taller than the replacements, so I cleaned them up and it solved the issue.

Really glad I didn’t have to pull it back apart again…
