I called Raptor tech support before doing mine. The guy that called me back "rocked". We talked for 30 minutes, he told me everything I needed to do to prep... which is key to a great finished application. ~7 or 8 years later I am totally pleased.

How did you guys measure out the hardener? 250 milliliters is just over a cup.... 1.056 so I'm guessing everyone just went with a cup?

I used the disposable plastic mixing cups from the auto paint store. I got a couple of the big ones as I was adding tint and insulating beads to the liner. I dumped the material out of the bottles into the mixing cups and then added the other ingredients and stirred it up then dumped it back in the bottles. They have the milliliter scale on them. We spray Raptor Liner daily. Great product but.......expect to use TWICE what you think you will! Wear sh!tty shoes, cardboard on floor. Tyvek suit, gloves. It goes everywhere.

Yep, I ordered an 8 litter kit just to be sure I have enough. I'll use the leftovers towards the Bronco. Yes, full on "bunny" suit is the plan. I got a respirator and face shield. My wife tells me I got the sh!tty shoes department covered. Told me to wear any pair I have. Not sure what to make of that?

Hope to seam seal this afternoon.......

Timmy if you have the kit with the one liter bottles then measuring is easy. Open one of the bottles and pour harder up to the taper of the bottle. Put lid on and shake for 2 mins and spray. They fill the bottles so that you can only fit enough harder in them with a little shake room

This works well as long as you aren't adding any tint or other media. Ken

Yes on the bottles and no on the tint.......going BLACK.....

Got it all primed today and seam sealer in the spots that needed it.

Considering putting another coat of primer down....an I crazy for thinking this? I wiped it all down and it looks good.....

Should I lightly rough up the self etching primer before spraying the Raptor?

So sprayed on Saturday......I didn't spray a second coat of etching primer and didn't scuff it up as I could find nothing that said to do so.

The spry went well......

Air pressure at 60PSI for both coats. Used 3.5 liters.

I sprayed outside with temps at 90 or just below. Humidity was high.......It setup FAST. By the time I was done spraying the first coat, it was READY for the second. I guess my pint is heat and humidity really set that stuff off.

I had similar experiences... I felt mine came out great and added value to the rig. Good product and recommend it.

I'm curious about how it looks sprayed over the old herculiner in your bronco. I have old herculiner in my Bronco I have thought about spraying over.

I have used the raptor liner many times with great results. I wish it would have been out when I did the bronco. The herculiner is very rough and has faded considerably over the years.

Let us know how that turns out, I would love to redo my tub.

Yeah......I'm going to do my best to remove the old herculiner in the bed of my half cab. Most of it had disappeared over the years. If I leave any of it it will be in the blukhead where it's still intact. Going to tackle it with a pressure washer and scrapers. I'll post up pics of it when I do.

I'm gearing up for hunting season so it might be spring before I spray. All depends on time and other projects. I'm well behind on the SAM.

To remove the old liner, scratch it up real good and use some zip strip. It will come out easier than you think
Pm rydog. He uses zip to remove old powdercoat.
There was also a thread in the last few weeks about someone using zip or aircraft stripper to remove their old bedliner and it worked great

Thanks guys....it came out great. A few spots I need to touch up when I do the Bronco. Not the products fault just my not being a painter and feeling rushed with the heat and how fast it was setting up in the heat. I know better this time which was the point of doing the Sam before the bronco. Learning curve.....

Zip Strip you say? I'll have to give that a try. Not looking forward to the process. Some of it will come of easy while one area is Dupli-Color Bed Armor. Used a can as a test and it's held up well......Now I will pay the price...LOL
