you still alive man?

Yep.

I have seen rigs around town and at my kids school with the House of Diesel stickers in the back, but I cannot say I have had a chance to talk to the drivers to see if they are "the builder"...

MoHill? Oakwood? If so that's us.

This is a sweeeet Build !!! I love the drive you have to "get r dun" . When do you think it will be finished ?

So by the grace of GOD my family was brought back together so we've just been ironing things out. But I have just started getting back out there and getting some time on it. Working out all the duct work and sub frame supports for the sliders. Going to start finishing up here pretty quick. So I'm considering entering it in TTC with the wife as a driver. She's mean behind a wheel. She's had extensive experience behind the wheel of the SuperCrawler. Those that have seen her drive tell me I should have had her drive it at the '09 TTC and the Crawler would have at least finished top 3. I keep going back and forth though cause I wanted to enter us together. My next build is a EB for me with a rear mounted V6 Powerstroke on dual steering Rockwells.

Ok and to be a little honest I keep getting sidetracked. I'll give you guys a sneak peek. I'm also building a 3 seat EB for my three kids 5, 7, and 10. A bronco golf cart body on a '06 MX5 Miata with EB 9" and 44 and 36" rubber. Should be done by some time this spring.

Yup, that's the place... I drive a few different rigs, but I am usually in the white Superduty with the Hanson front bumper, firefighter plates, teal pin stripes...

Congrats with things working out with the Family!

Doug

Ahhh the 7.3. I noticed. My son names what every vehicle manufacturer is as we walk out to the parking lot, especially the Fords. I noticed you had the Hanson bumper just this past week. I've ran their bumpers on our old TJ, our new JK, and my FJ45. That was the first SD one that I've noticed.

And thank you.

Everyone have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Chris

So been out for a while, but it's time to get this thing rapped up for this season. Started another project, and don't have the time to finish the plumbing so I'm just having my buddy at Ed's Speed Shop finish it up while they are wiring and tuning her up. This week I'll finish gusseting the hoops, adding some bracing to the roll cage, and tie the sliders into the frame and cage. The rear tire carrier, fender tubes, dual bar truss, gears, lockers, e brake, and other loose ends I'll finish up when I get her back. The main bar barely touches the MAP so it'll have to be notched to clear it later when the front bar gets put in, but I'm happy it was a clear run straight across. The gussets came out nice but welding the insides gonna be the craps. Finished 85% of the plumbing anyways and already mounted everything. All that's left is the fuel, radiator, oil, and trans coolers, which are all mounted with fittings ready to go.

So here's some progress from tonight:

when and where? ;D

I'll definitely let ya'll know. I'm thinking about putting a BBQ together for a Ford day. See if we can get the Powerstroke and Bronco guys together, maybe even have my buddy bring down the dyno. I'm working on my schedule for the year this week, so I'll be sure to let everyone know.

looking good! thats a unique way of doing the shock hoops on top of the frame with the gussest instead of on the sides. Is that stronger or was there any particular reason for doing it that way?

what are the plates along the side of the frame with 4 bolts?

holy $%#, this is an amazing build man. You combined the best of both worlds!!

the 03/04 termi cross breaded with your first generation bronco and has made sweet sweet love.

What kind of power are you looking at pushing with that motor? bone stock they are beast but i see that you were talking about porting the s/c. How do you think its hp/tq ratio is going to do pushing those massive rubbers around?

When I went through the frame some of the areas were a little thin. Also you can't quite tell from the pictures but the hoops are kicked back in to land on the frame. So the outer gussets carry up to those bends to help keep the tube from wanting to push out off the frame or being able to fold in.

Just in case I ever want to remove the body. The sliders are welded to the body to strengthen up what I cut off. I made plates out of 3/4 and tapped them for the 4 bolts and plates that will be tied into the sliders and underside rollcage plates.

My thought exactly. It layed down 275 ponies at the wheels when I had it in my buggy before with the same size tires. I'm pretty sure it'll get 350 and if it's anywhere in the 400 range I'm heading to Vegas. My wiring guy has been tuning 4.6s for some time now with stand alones and the previous numbers were on his dyno. TQ is going to depend on how well I can use the air the chargers pushing. It's just going to take some tuning so as to not load too much, some guys over do it trying to get higher boost numbers and flood the low end. I've added Injectors to try and match everything and am running a digital air/fuel mixture gauge for the cluster to make tuning a little easier.

Looks like tons of fun.
Did the motor hit the grill on the way in?

Yeah! That sucks to have happened. That is truly putting 10lbs in a 5lb bag with that motor.

Subscribed to keep up for sure! Looking good so far I think.

That's funny someone called me a mad scientist yesterday on the Miata board. It sucks being behind a computer most of the day. All I do is sit and dream this crap up between reading any auto magazine I can get my hands on and pushing numbers all day. Used to be I'd come up with half my ideas driving around from job to job all day. Sometimes I wish the voices would just stop. haha Nah, honestly when I was in high school and bought my first truck, a '94 F250 with a 351W I grew to hate the masses. Majority of people went down and bought a lifted Z71 off the lot and had all the modifications they could ever want available for their Chevy's. I despised that and for a while was down right jealous. Then as time passed I realized that the Ford was ten times what those Chevy's could ever be. From then on I got the itch and started figuring out how to get what I couldn't have. I found a little known company named Kenne Bell that made Supercharges for Ford apps. I threw that bad boy on and kicked the living crap out of every Chevy I saw. I beat the piss out of that poor truck. When I finally killed it in '99 (blown motor), I bought a '96 diesel F350 and stuffed 37"s on it with a leveling kit. Then the diesel addiction started. From that base I've always wanted what no one else has and if someone says that won't fit, work, or can't, I say oh ya watch me.

what size injectors? i bumped up to 60# on my termi with upper and lower pulleys and i didn't need that much. i'll be going to bigger ones on the new setup if i ever get around to finishing it off.

Ya i've got the 60s. Both Stiegemeier and American Muscle said the 80s are just too much unless you go up to the Kenne Bell or twins.

And thanks guys for all the support. I'm more excited than you guys.
