Well this model thing is as addictive as the real thing. Found another kit that I forgot I had and stated it. Anyone guess what this is gonna be?

Not sure what this is. but it looks big. I got addicted too, and started another. Mine is easier to ID. If not by the shape of the air cleaner, then the "waterfall" dash.

I wanted to mention the Revell kit for this comes with "race" and "stock" option wheels, tires, headers and hood that I won't use. The wheels at a glance look like wagon wheels if anybody wants them, they can have them.

Thanks for the complement.

Yep that's right. 1/16 scale cobra. That's about as close as I'll get to owning a real side oiler. I know where one block and crank are and a complete one with the stack injection. Both 66 blocks. The bare block is 5k and the complete one is 25k. Too rich for me.
I bought that kit in 1981. Found it when I was digging through my old model building tools to build the bronco. Should be finished with it soon. The 1/16 scale has a lot of detail.

HA ha, I didn't build that one, found that pic on the internet. I'm working on my first one and there's a good chance it may be too embarrassing to show, lol.

Well, here it is so far. Been working on it a few hours a day for 9 days. Lots of issues with the frame to overcome due to getting the paint on too thick but managed, next frame one will be sprayed instead of brushed. Those decals are a major pain. My goal with this one is too be like the pic on the box, with exception of maybe the spare. First one I've done in over 40 years, looking better than I expected. Hoping to finish or be very close this weekend.

It's looking good!

If I was doing mine over, I would do the outside chrome bits last. I bet I glued the mirror and door handles back on it at least 4 times. Every time I would handle it to stick on a decal, I would bust something off....

Yeah, I've had a few redos. The glue for windshields and glass isn't cooperating. Is it normally thick and hard to spread? I'm hoping the windshield will cleanup....it's looking rather dingy right now while it's drying.

I used Testors Clear Parts Cement. It goes on white but dries clear. It was a little thicker than the regular model glue.
