WOW I just realized that the 1 year point of seriously working on The Bronco just passed. Time flies when your having fun. Now that I think about it a year to get a chassis ready for a body ain't bad.
Finished up the front disc this morning. got the lines run and the other plumbing completed. Also completed the clutch linkage, Fuel line, rear brake line as well.
In the next few weeks I will be ordering the rear Disc conversion(Hoping for a good sale Chuck)
Soon I will also be in need of a wire harness, Things are going to start moving now as long as the cash flow keeps up.

Is the HP specs any different then from a 300 pullout from a F150?

From what I was told by a motor guy the industrial has a stronger crank, and already has a low end cam

Ok what happened? That's not the same motor you had in it when you shot the two video clips.

LOL Those were taken prior to paint, someone wanted to see it, The video is as it sits now.

After the weekends work I want to put down what has been completed to date.
This was started about 14 months ago and when I see some of the other build threads I feel like mine is flying!

Frame repairs
New rear leaf hangers, lowered 1"
Moved Radius arm brackets for extended arms
Received Ford Power Industrial 300 six
Coil buckets moved and lowered 1 1/2 inch
Front shock mounts moved
New Crossmember fabricated
Motor brackets fabricated, 3" back, 3" lower
Track bar drop bracket fabricated
Gussets added to bumper mount area of frame
Primed frame
Sprayed frame with Gator II bedliner
Extended Radius arms 12"
Moved Trans, crossmember back 3" down 3"
Rebuilt D-44
Rebuilt 9"
Rebuilt D-20
New 2 1/2 rear springs
New 3 1/2 coils
All new suspension bushings
Purchased 86 F-150 300 six and NP435 for $200
Front disc conversion (Chebby)
4x4x2 Steering box conversion
Rebuild NP435
Mate 435 to D-20 with 6cyl housing and adapter from B.C.
Install 435/D-20
Prep motor for install
Install Industrial 300 six w/new motor mounts
Fabricate core support
Rebuild Carb
Fabricate clutch pivot and arm
Ran motor for the first time
Ran fuel line
Fabrication of brake lines using parts from donor truck
Ran brake lines
Now waiting on cash flow for rear disc parts

Some things I have found along the way
This is alot of work
When you think you are done with one thing, you find 3 more you forgot to do
Fabrication is fun
Wife is jealous of the Bronco
Just when you have it figured out and get part way thru, you think of a better way
NP435 will instantly turn your big toe red
Ford Blue, which one
With my mods a stock rear driveshaft is perfect
I hate rust
Grease, it's whats for dinner
I love Bronco's
Alot of people on this board are helpful
When bedliner gets on clothes, it is there to stay

This has been tons of fun so far, once the rear brakes are done the body will be started. All down hill now. I keep telling myself, soon!!!

Finally got to work on Chipper again today, well a few hours anyway. Not much progress, just tinkering more than anything. But tinkering on the Bronco is what makes the world a better place to live.

Slowly goes the build. Slower than I want. Been doing little things as I can. Will be starting a body fairly soon, looking at September as Body start.
Got the rear brake lines finally installed. Next week hope to have the rear brakes completed.

The big test of the day came when I installed the tie rod/Drag link. With all the changes we have made to the geometry of the front end I was concerned about how much bump steer there would be that I would have to adjust out.
We had lowered the front spring towers 1 1/2 inches and moved them forward 1 1/2 inches. Extended the radius arms 12 inches, Add the 4x4 Steering box conversion and the fabricated track bar bracket and you can see where my concerns are coming from.
Got everything bolted down, cotter pins in, lowered the front on the ground. Seemed like a good time for a break so I sat in a lawn chair starring at the front end, everything looks as it should, everything seemed in alignment. After 10 minutes I decided it was time to bounce the front end and see what happened.
All the hope in the world could not prepare me for what happened when I put my 275 lbs in motion to get the front end bouncing. The steering arm never moved, None Nada, Nil. Makes me feel good that we got that part right, but the next big test will be after the body is on and I take it for a spin. But right now I will savor the small victory.

Yea, we need to figure out how we can rebuild your t-case in a hotel room in a few weeks. Don't think they have a room with a bearing press in it.

HAHA...I have an apartment now. I have a place to store stuff like a bearing press. Or, we could find someone in Columbus that has such and use theirs for a minute.

Sounds like a plan, we could even take it to the nearest NAPA and have them do the tailshaft.

Just a quick No update post.
No progress in a long time as the paychecks are great to pay the bills but nothing extra for Chipper. I am hoping to work something out for a tub then I could get rolling on it again.

Happy to say I will be working on my Bronco in the morning. Have to give it a good once over and then formulate the game plan to get rolling again.
Seems like it has been forever, Times are changing, Life is changing, Time to Get-R-Done!!
