Progress photos as promised. Now that I have had a chance to verify the fit and dimensions, I just need to get it welded up and plan for an install day...

Nice. I have been trying to get one of the Bronco part houses to make this for years since I do not have the skill or patience. Glad to see it is coming to fruition.

One would think if there are people begging and screaming for a product they would offer it - even at the ease of this project. Now I know of three different people making a product that would have been making money for 6+ months...

Well, lets see how the prototype works first. :) It is currently with a friend from work that can TIG weld aluminum. Hopefully he gets it done over the weekend so that I will have some pictures to share.

Word around the campfire says that a product like this is going to hit the market soon from one of the vendors. Oddly enough, it may only be for the 5.0 not the 5.8. I'm not sure why it would not work on the 5.8 or if, perhaps, it has just not been tried yet on the 5.8. Time will tell I suppose. I have a saginaw pump waiting for an Explorer compatible bracket to become available and in my case, it needs to work with a 5.8.

Why would the 5.0 vs. 5.8 make a difference? The brackets bolt to the same holes in the blocks.

I've got a 5.8 setup with a PSC pump - I'm sorta the reason we have the PSC Explorer option, would be nice to verify that this works as well. I've got another set of brackets that one of the vendors should have started making as well...

I'm down for some testing -no reason the 5.8 will make any difference besides belt length..

That is exactly my thought. I have not seen it so I can't say why. This is just the information I was given. As I said, Maybe it has not been bolted to a 5.8 yet to try it.

Is this set up going to allow one to keep the AC compressor on the explorer set up?

My understanding is that it will not have provisions for the AC pump. AC is an option I would prefer to keep open but on the flip side I have lived without it for the 24 years that I have been a Bronco owner. I did volunteer my Bronco to be the 5.8 test vehicle.

I'll be watching this thread for sure. Eric, if you do bring your bracket to market, Consider me an interested party. It looks like a very clean setup! I have also considered building my own bracket but at this point, I see no need to reinvent the wheel.

Any updates on this project. I'd love to keep my new sag on my 5.0 transplant.

Still waiting for him to weld it. It's the service you get when it is free and he is busy racing midget racers, I guess. I asked him about it today, so I assume it will be soon enough. I'll post up as soon as I get it back.

I just found this thread. I was in the same predicament recently so I built my own bracket. I've been intending to post up pictures and I also have a template if anyone needs it. Mine was made out of 1/4 plate, saginaw pump with Explorer serpentine on a 351. Isn't that hard to make, using a dual return reservoir.
