In keeping with my desire to build a quality Bronco, I bought these doors to use instead of fixing the other set. I do not intend to put them on right away but in case I decide to put them on later, I wanted to get them and have everything painted at the same time. That way I don't have to worry about color matching at a later date. Everything looked good on them for a few minutes... Then I noticed a problem! Needless to say one of them will be going back! Good thing I have a few weeks before it goes to paint!

One of these things in not like the other...

Looks like gravity took its toll on the left hand door! ;D

Sorry you have to deal with shipping, etc. That is just a PITA.

Oh yea. I remember that fire .... Good times! The awesome steak tips, laughing about Ben's love of Cracker Barrel. I don't remember if it was Ben or Todd but one of them couldn't remember Pete's name and called him something different every time they spoke. That fire was one of the highlights of that whole trip!;D

Just to show how serious I am about getting the Bronco driving this year I got insurance and got it registered. The plate came in the mail yesterday. In Indiana they are starting to charge back fees on cars that don't get registered every year. I had to pay back 2 years. which is better than it could have been since this Bronco vin# has not been registered since before 1985!

Off to get painted!

After a few months of delays.... The Bronco is FINALLY at the paint shop! I am Pretty excited about this! It will probably take 2 months to get done because he paints vehicles on the side after working in an RV factory 8 hours a day. I am going to stop in every few weeks so I will try and take progress pics while I am there. I was so excited that I only got one pic of it leaving.

I stopped in to check on the Bronco today. My painter has made some progress on it so I took some pics to share. Right now the plan is to have it finished being painted by the end of July. I was a little giddy when I saw it, It looks totally different all in 1 color! I have settled on the color and I am going to be really happy with this rig when it is done. I CANT WAIT!
