The guy is just N. of Houston in Magnolia. He's a terrific guy to deal with...I was turned on to him by Broncow, who is one of his home boys. So far, I'm very very pleased. It never goes as quickly as you would like, but as you can see there is a bunch of work to do when you start diggin' below the surface. I was shocked at how bad the frame looked when the body was off, as well as some of the hidden body panel rust. The truck spent most of it's life in Louisiana, so it must have been those 5 yrs in Colorado that did it..but they don't use salt there..I dunno..maybe it's just because it's a 32 yr old truck? ;D either way...bye, bye rust! ;)

ok boys and girls -- I made a quick road trip down this morning to check out the progress. The pics don't do it justice! The frame looks black in the pics, but it's actually gun metal grey -- and it is beeeeuuuutiful!! Here's a few pics for your viewing pleasure --

Looks great Coach! What kind of roll cage setup is that?
I knew someone would ask me that! I bought it about 5 yrs ago and it's been in storage ever since. I "think" I bought it from JBG ..but I've slept since then and really don't remember..sort of embarrasing really..!!

Looking good Scott!
Thanks Jerry - Can't wait until she's all back together again and we can cruise Rockwall! btw -- saw Scott's youngest runnin' around town in the yellow beast today!

Nice work Scott. I noticed a few 'trail friendly' goodies on there. You finally gonna come wheel with us? Katemcy is coming up..... ;D

Nah, he won't wheel it!
I'll wheel it onto the trailer! ;D ;D

It won't be ready for Katemcy -- too bad, cause I'd like to take her out there .. and sit in her (parked on the trailer with the A/C cranked) while I drink a cervesa and watch you guys smash your little ponies! ;D ;D I'm afraid Jerry has it right - this beast is a trailer queen / street eater.. it's not how it started, but it's just too purty to bounce around the boulders. I might let it haul me to the duck blind if it hasn't rained! ;D ;D

Holy smokes man,

Can you pass the Grey-Poupon? That's one fancy ride, just to sit and collect dust, you could take the T-bird for the stuff you're describing. :p

From what I see, it'd do absolutely perfect on Aggie Highway, not many chances for scratches unless you're really not paying attention.

Come on out to Katemcy anyhow, we'll get you a seat to ride in. Maybe you'll change your mind about it's trail worthiness after that. ;D

Oh, I'm being a little sarcastic -- if you knew me, you'd know that I don't let my ride sit around and collect dust -- I drive, and I drive HARD. This thing is gonna rip up some pavement, but it will also rip up a little dirt - I can guarantee that! I won't waste even 1 of those 345 h.p....promise! ;D

oh yeah - -here's the tires/wheels -- sort of old school aluminum Outlaw II's with 33x9.5 BFG AT's. The guy chuckled when he ordered the Outlaw's for me..said he hasn't had many request for those wheels over the past few years! ;D This truck is going to be a blend of old school meets new school -- hope it works the way I think it will! time will tell...I'm interested in what you guys think -
