Thats the plan, about all im short on right now is a carpet (on the way) and a windshield with some other odds and ends and I'll be done. Most of the under dash wiring needs to get done, but that shouldnt take much longer. Really want to bring it down w/ me.

Sounds good

Yep, i'm building a wood dash. Its all been covered, and doesnt look like that. I wrapped the upper horizontal piece to resemble the dash pad, then theres brushed stainless, stock cluster in the center of the dash blah blah blah. Still workin on it.

Are You Done Yet!!!

Hey, I have been waiting years to see this thing completed. If I didn't send you thoughs great pics you wouldn't of spent all that $$$.

Good work! Hope to be down your way in a couple of weeks. When do you go back to school?

I might be able to drive the 73 or the 75. Installing the NP435, t case and twin stick next week. Motor turns over so I think it should work. What can you expect for $1700.

Also made a LED conversion. I bought a pair of trailer lamps from Harbor Freight for $15 and then made some buckets for them and I'm going to put 66 lenses over them and use some reverse lights mounted to the bumper.

I dont have any pics of how I mounted the column. Basically what I did was get some steel c channel, notched it and bent the ends down. Then I welded it back up and drilled holes to mount it to the stock location and then two more holes on the ends to bolt the column to the bracket. After that I got the steering shaft from an 98 explorer as well as the dust boot for the firewall and I had to get a coupler from Borgeson to get it to mount up to the steering box. I'll try to get you some pictures

They're pretty nice, I just wish the molle camelback they gave me (it was free if you bought 2 seat covers at the truck show) was also ACU. They're pretty well made, I'm sure you'll be happy with them. Wish I had some updates but the project is kind of on hold for now, had to go back to school...

I ended up redoing it, I didnt like the way it fit w/ the windshield and shifters so I rebuilt it. I'll try to get some pics of the new setup. The center section where the gauges radio and cb go now has zebra wood veneer w/ 8 coats of clear coat on it. Looks like zebra wood under glass and when the gauges light it looks pretty cool.

Update 01/11

Dash is mostly finished, redesigned it, clear coated the zebra wood veneer and worked on the ergonomics of the whole thing. Theres also a youtube link at the bottom to show the marshall gauges working.

Overview of the dash, installed the F-150 vents, wrapped the simulated dash pad in vinyl etc. Its not 100% complete but we're almost there. Waiting to get a sheet of brushed aluminum to finish it off.
