Working on rebuilding my 8274. Upgraded the motor to a 9.5xp and getting synthetic rope.

Did some more EFI tuning...idle parameters mostly. Finally got the engine to the point where I can cold start it with just the key; no more fooling with the gas pedal to keep it from stalling out during cold start and warm-up. Woot! Baby steps.

So I decide it's time to put the T-shift stick back in...and wtf?? The hole in top of the case isn't 1/2". A 7/16" bolt fits loosely through it, but is way to loose on the bushing in the T-shift handle. I pulled the bolt from another T-shift case I had lying around and it's definitely 1/2". Arg...

Finally got mine home and fired it up Sat just to find freeze plug is out of block...thought my brother checked antifreeze in it at least block is ok and freeze plug is easy to get to!

Looks like the prior owner welded the script logo holes shut and Im not able to drill through them. Gonna have to move the emblems a half inch over ;D

Dropped off Chuck Crush's donuts at Eric Sk1nw4lk3er for delivery to Super Cel, saw Pat at JBG and picked up a cart full of shiny things!

1. Bed floor just arrived!
2. Sanded inner rockers, cleaned and painted
3. Sanded and ground frame section down to bare metal then cleaned primed and painted (yes, I'm doing the frame in sections as I get to it because I'm not doing a frame off)
4. Ground/sanded down mating surfaces for welding
5. Ran out of cutting discs for my grinder
6. Ordered some FJ Cruiser side mirrors (don't judge!)
7. Ordered some parts from CJ Pony since they're having a sale, including 2 Scott Drake Fire Extinguisher Mounts

Finished welding in and painting a grab handle for the wife/passengers to my cage.. installed my ARB lights up front, installed ARB dual compressor, added new plus/wires, dist cap/rotor, and working on SwitchPros install/wiring currently.

Finally got my cooling system flushed an cleaned. What a pain.

I also put a glass section in the upper radiator hose so I can keep an eye on the coolant condition a little easier.

For a while, I've been working on installing rebuilt engine and AOD trans in my '75. Slow because other things keep getting in the way.
While at the Bronco Stampede with my '66 I snapped the driver's side radius arm. FUN getting it back to the camp site. So now I have a set of Duff extended long arms on order, while I was at it I ordered a new Super 9 housing from Wild Horses. The Super 9 got here in one day and the radius arms are due here on Friday. Gonna be a BUSY weekend. We were suppose to go to a off road run in Parker, Arizona this weekend but for obvious reasons we're not.

Loaded it for Tucson. U-Haul gave me a POS trailer. Looks like someone drove off the side of it. Strapped mine down and noticed the fender flopping around and they gave me a brand new trailer. I hope the POS truck makes it! Rained about an inch overnight. I'm afraid to check the carpet this morning, but 85 degrees in Tucson will dry it out nicely!

Double check the surge brakes on that trailer. I bought my bronco in Montana, rented a U-Haul to pull it to Detroit, didn't even realize they weren't working until more than halfway home. Good luck and have a safe trip.

Taking it on a wheeling trip this weekend and decided that the 37's are really too much for the stock axle gearing.

So last night I put the 33's back on for some worry free wheeling. And a 33 is what I have for a mounted up spare..Parked a 16x38x15 next to it for fun.

Yes there is a 73 Bronco in the pic, frame down at least.

Drug it through the snow. The U-Haul truck and trailer did great over Hwy 58 in the Cascades and 3 passes between K Falls and Susanville. Although I didn't have to worry about falling asleep at the wheel. %) I stopped at one summit to eat and a snow plow driver stopped to chat about the two Broncos he owns, then said "let me plow the highway for that Bronco." I left two days early to beat the storm. Lost the battle but won the war, I guess. Reno South should be good. I can feel my webbed feet drying out already.

Did my first welding ever on the bronco, and used my welder for the very first time. Did a very ugly job splicing in a piece on the driver's side support. But after this pic I put a grinder to it and it looks decent. Thankfully almost everything else is plug / spot welds. Plus, my welder wasn't really dialed in, so I'll work on that today.
