Here's all the pics in one place. This mod was what I did after I purchased a stainless steel tailgate latch from my favorite vendor, but was unhappy with the finish as it was pitted. Not the vendor's fault. I decided to see if I could make my original latch lockable, and bought an online cam lock that came with a black finish. You need to drill the hole exactly in the center of the handle, or the retaining lock ring will not sit flat. My cam lock was 7/8" long (3/4" diameter), and I bent the tab to fit my crude cut in the housing. I trial fit everything, then took apart and sent to powder coater. The only thing I will be adding is a little epoxy to the retaining ring on the cam lock. Hope this give you a better idea how to do it yourself.

Great information, do you have a part number for the cam lock?

Did a benefit car show for the boy's and girl's club. It was a blast and the only Bronco there out of 600 or so cars/trucks. Also put on the family bikini to and wiper cover yesterday!

Finally got to installing the progressive linkage on the Holley sniper if you haven’t done this do it. Makes it so much easier to drive. Also helped a buddy install his James duff tire swing came out awesome.

Put on a new Rampage soft top...spice/tan. Had a white one, but it’s been about 10 years in time for something new. Would’ve gone with black but the fender flares are body color, otherwise with black fender flares I probably would’ve gone black. And just thought this might be something different and look better. I like it.

Thought about the gray version, but it was much more expensive from another vendor versus where I got this on sale. The hard top is gray and matches the body, but after 18 years I needed a change, lol. Could fit a little better in places, and I’ll try to work out those kinks. Overall very high-quality and recommend it.

The tan looks great! Like a khaki navy uniform on a battle ship

This is really cool...I didn't realize an aftermarket spare tire carrier could work with a stock bumper, but it looks like it does the job. This is great and means you don't need to get a new bumper (like I did about 14 years ago)!

Whoever designed the Bronco heater was doing the devils work! Just got through reinstalling the heater on my trail Bronco and it's not working, fan motor does not turn on. Got to pull the !$@ out and see what the issue is. It was working before I got it fully installed.
