Installed Leilas's rear cage yesterday using BC broncos windshield stiffiners with hollow 1/2 tubing. Thank you blazinear for the cage.

went to a mustang and ford show in Des Moines Sunday. we were in the truck class. a lot of nice trucks, and 3 Early Bronco's, one pretty nice Bronco II also. and the Broncos took 1st and 3rd. even though it was put on by the mustang club of southwest Iowa and was primarily a mustang show there was a ton of interest in the broncos. we talked to people all day. it was a great time.

Damn, that Bronco II gave me nostalgia. That was my first truck, that I bought in high school and later had for awhile in the Army. 1986 Bronco II. I bet there are very few left on the road anymore. Don't laugh, lol... I know it looks cheesy but I was proud of it because I bought it myself in 1988 with Hardee's job money and such. 😁

Probably made every mistake possible in the process but got the new timing chain cover, new water pump, fuel pump, and oil pan reinstalled.

That bronco II was a very nice example it looked pristine. I thought it was very cool you don’t see many of them anywhere and I’ve never seen one at a show before

I would drive one if I could find one, hell it seems they are now more rare than early broncos. I think I have only seen one in probably the last 10 years. An old guy nearby had one that it seemed he probably bought new and just drove it. Knowing the relatively affluent development that he lived in, he probably just drove it bc he liked it :) I am sure he could have afforded something newer. Always brought a smile to my face.

Got my 5speed installed and fabbed up some twin sticks. Went to reinstall old exhaust tonight and found nothing would fit. I have clocked the Dana 20 in the wrong position. Will have to separate it and turn it down farther. Muffler pipe drivers side hitting front driveshaft and front driveshaft was too short. Couldn't figure out why until I went to install the exhaust and saw tcase was way up in frame rail instead of hanging down in the normal position. twin sticks done.jpg twin stick 2.jpg

Finished the t-case rebuild with heavy duty output shaft. Got it installed and tested, no leaks so far!

I walked past it. Please don't judge the garage for it is only temporary. We sold our home and moved into a rental while having our new home built.
