Replaced my gas pedal......DO NOT ATTEMPT :p Well, first learned I had no spring, then learned that the PO JB Welded the pedal to the accelerator arm and bent the hell out of it. Multiple hours trying to install it in the truck - the retaining clips, bushings and springs are a major PITA! After multiple failed attempts, finally had my 16 year old daughter assist in the removal of the assembly. Well, tried it again and finally ended up bending the hell out of the pedal "mounts" and installed a couple zip ties to hold the spring in place....So, short term we are good and will probably change out the entire assembly at some point.....Gotta love the grind!

I did nothing with my Bronco. But I did get the opportunity to look at a barn find Bronco. It is an orange 74 Ranger, 302, C4, PS with Brown interior. It also featured 4:11 posi's at both end. The gentlemen purchased it used in 1978. The same year that I purchased my first Bronco. The Bronco does have simulated Ranger stripes but not original. Because it was repaint twice. Once for a roll over accident he had and for some rust repair in the quarters and rockers. The Bronco has cut rear fenders with fiberglass flairs. Even though he keeps it maintained by starting it every now and then and on a battery tender. It hasn't been moved or driven in over five years. So it just sits in a dirt floor Morton building. With a few other vehicles and some farming equipment. The best thing about the Bronco. Is that it is very original with all of it's original equipment. And a very solid body with little rust. Sad to see it sitting there all covered in bard find dirt. The owner was on the fence about selling it because he has had it so long. But my visit and advice I gave him, may have inspired him to clean it up and get it driving again. He also had now idea how much these old rigs are worth. In my opinion, all cleaned and tuned up. It would be a 20-30k rig. We will be keeping in touch.
An other cool rig that he has. Is his dad's, 1963 Econoline Deluxe pick up. His dad bought it new for a business truck. It is all original aswell and in excellent, running condition. Really cool truck.
Sorry, out of privacy. I do not have any pictures to share.

Let's hear it! It should be an ongoing thread. Whatever you did, big or small, post pics, threadjack, comments, anything goes!

Today I'm picking up some heavy duty rubber and am building wheel well liners!
Sanding, sanding and more sanding trying to get it ready for paint

Finally got some “Bronco” time today. Lots of littles done.

Decided to alter the means of attachment for the poly tank skid plate rearmost bolt. Rather than trying to fabricate a flat strip with a nut welded on (like the original 77 had). Decided it’s easier to weld a nut to a 1/4” rod.

These pics kinda show the rear tank fill line. 1st looks from front to back.

Looking back to front.

Replaced the rock/mud/dirt (?) shield. Note the 3 self-tapping bolts that are in primer gray. Would have liked to know they were there when I was trying to remove the tank and skid plate. Had to use a ratchet and 14” of extension to get to 3 bolts in the crossmember.

If you happen to be “blessed” with a ‘77 and need to change the fill tube and vent tube and tank vent, it will be worth your sanity to be sure and get a 3/4” I.D. Hose for the vent tube, a 2 1/4” I.D. 30* angled hose to attach at the tank and a straight 2 1/4” I.D. hose to connect to the metal fill line. You’re going to need a sleeve between those two.
Also be sure that you get a couple of feet of 1/4” I.D. Hose for the vent from tank to rollover valve.
