Did you ever get your transfer case figured out?

Sure did. Turned out to be the shifter hitting the body. Didn't think it could have been that because it was still making the J pattern, and it worked before the engine swap. Between the new motor mounts and transmission mounts, it must have shifted just enough to hit. Took out about 1/2" and its good to go.

Oh, I'm also hoping to pick up my rebalanced damper tomorrow!

Cool, it's nice to have a problem that's easy to fix for a change huh.;D

replaced the balancer, set timing, adjusted the idle...and DROVE IT!!!

also cleaned out all the junk and bolted down the rear seat.

Oh, and when you ghetto rig something, try not to have wires anywhere near a driveshaft. Looks like I'll be running those speaker wires inside the cab after all...

Fixed my lean I had. now I don't feel like I'm going around a turn in a strait stretch. It was down a 1.5" on the front corner

Got all my turn signal working as well. Also discovered that my "new" cd player will overheat and cut out. I had the same problem with a different alpine back in '99 too. Guess I'll start looking for a kenwood.

Cleaned up the starter, trans inspection cover and oil dip stick tube. Tomorrow I'll blast off the old paint and repaint the oil pan. I've been working on replacement of the rear main seal and pan gasket. Sorry now pic's, can't find my camera.

Got the brakes on the front of the 76 Sport, time for some new lines tomorrow.

Took delivery of a 1974 Original Ranger cut truck 50,048 miles, some rust repair has been started, might be another keeper...
