Drove around with the top off testing the power brake conversion. This is about the nicest time of year here in the desert to go topless. Power steering conversion this weekend if parts show up!

Got the chassis and bumpers nearly completed over the weekend. Now it just needs some sheet metal....

Today I wrestled with a new fuel pump, heater hoses, changed oil filters, pcv valve, and got the original AM radio working.

I took her for a test run at dark and hit a bump, and the headlights went out....hopefully I'll get to that tomorrow.

Finally got around to the Cherokee wipers upgrade ... documented the mechanical differences

Discovered two small holes near the pivot point on the arms where you can extend the arm, insert nail to keep it extended while you install, nice feature. This will also come in handy when replacing blades. Rain is in the forecast, can't wait to try them out.

That hole near the pivot helps with the install,a lot easier to line up. What brand blade did you get? On mine the attachment hole isn't centered, they miss the windshield trim by about 1/4 inch on the bottom and if I turn them the other way they jump up on the trim on top.

I'm currently re-using my 12" blades Mike, waiting for rain to see if they need replacing. They were starting to show signs of wear but I'm curious with these beafier springs if I'll get more runtime on them. Plenty of clearance obviously but plan to go longer when I replace them.

From the thread that pushed me over the edge to get these, one of our members said he is using Napa AccuFit 60-014-1 (14").

Drug the '66 beater out of the woods Saturday, only to find that the really nice hardtop I had stuck on it to "store" it has the rear top corner completely smashed from a falling dead tree that hit it a glancing blow on its way by. Broke the glass too.

I sold two hard tops over the last couple of years because I figured I had too many and only kept the nicest one.
