Drove around to a bunch of shops and did some marketing. Stopped at Maltry Motorcars who has 4 Broncos currently. Had a mom and daughter chase me for a few miles and tell me how much they love it which is a nice break from all the old men who drool over it

Playing with door gaps after 1" BL and new hinges. Getting closer to body work. Doors are flush to panels & I have a perfect 3/16" all around EXCEPT!!!! the driver side to quarter is 1/16"!!!!

I got this in the mail today. The long-time ago ex-wife found it in a box or something and mailed it to me. The original advertisement in the local Autotrader in 1997 for my Bronco....and yes it was a $1300 Bronco that I had no trouble driving an hour or so after buying it for cash. Yeah, it was beat to hell, but still, those days are long gone.

After my Bronco cost me $220 to be towed by a tow truck 1.5 miles to my house on a Sunday when I took it to get fuel and it wouldn't start....and I sat at the gas pumps for 4 hrs waiting on a tow.... I replaced the OEM style, 26 year old starter with a new gear reduction high torque starter from PowerMaster. I have the old style (late 1990s) Duff long tube headers, and dropping the starter down without removing the header would be easy, except I couldn't get any kind of wrench onto the upper bolt (probably because I have no body lift) luckily I have fiberglass inner fenders, so I notched them a bit with a hacksaw blade and was able to get a small air ratchet onto it, so I didn't have to remove header. The new starter is half the weight and very easy to fit up in with the header in place.
It really turns the motor over quick. and starts right up.
