Where to dump exhaust

I have had terrible luck with my 4 broncos over the years with exhaust smell coming into cab. Where are people dumping the tip to prevent it. Couple things.

I dont run any top anymore and sometimes no windshield.

I would like it to dump under truck to keep it out of rocks.

I dont have a ton of room due to 4 link

I would like to turn my bc bronco 2 to 1 into a dual because of space

Mine exit just in front of the rear tires. No exhaust smell on the road or on the rocks with the top on or off.

I've never had any serious exhaust smell issue with mine exiting out the side behind the passenger rear tire, but it's a rock magnet there. I'm running leafs, so the shackle and leaf are somewhat the limiting factor, although I'm considering running it above the leaf and then angling it down and back out the rear corner.

Half cab fixed all odor issues for me 😁 but seriously, fought same battle having a high strung carbed engine with big cam. Headers that go over the frame and dumped exhaust out just in front of the rear tires. Freed up so much room under the truck between the frame I wish I had do e it 15 yrs ago.

I have mine past the rear tire and it is cut at a slight angle. From what I have been told cutting the tip at an angle creates a vacuum or something and keeps exhaust going down and out as apposed to up in the cab.

I used to have mine exiting right in front of the rear tires also, it was pretty foul for myself in the car, as well as anyone next to me with the their windows down. Just got a new exhaust that dumps angled straight down right about under the rear bench. No issue at this time. Sure you can't see the tip, but I actually think it's pretty clean.

Stock location seems to work best. No exhaust smell at all even with Top off or Soft-Top windows zipped out.

I'm running my own 2 into 1 with no top or doors and I've never smelled my exhaust.

I don't run a rear tank though- the dump flat with my bumper.

I have em go over the rear axle and dump out at a 45 degree out with 45 degree turn downs on it. so down and out. can't see em either, which is the main reason i chose this

This has been working for me. Dumps out the side near rear bumper. It's tucked up tight, only dips below frame where is crosses under near the rear axle. I have no fears of it getting smashed up.

I was getting fumed-out by the side-exit exhaust that the PO put on. (exited ahead of the rear tire) Especially in a cross wind. I needed something different before sticking the kids in there and driving 1000 miles.

I had to get real creative and carefully measure, but not had any issues so far.

I have had two Broncos with side exhausts in front of the tires, and they have been the best.
