I just bought my wife a bronco this week and was looking at the vin codes and was wondering wat the model U153 body #34 and district #48 stood for. I have a JBG book with codes in the back but these # are not in it. Its a 74 uncut fairly solid compared to what I have seen. It came with replacement floor pans extra set of doors, needs rockers, pillars our solid.

If you are really interested in the trucks history you can order a marti report. Gives you all the original info, including manufacturers date, original equip, etc. just google marti report......

Wow that's awesome! And forgive me if this seems rude, because you are clearly a nice fella, buying your lady a Bronco and all...but we could use a few more Bronco ladies on here! So please get her to sign on so we can meet her too!! This is a request from another Bronco lady, in case you were worried. ;D;D;D

We do need pics. Can't wait to see it. As mentioned before, getting a Marti is a great thing to do.

Welcome to you and your lovely bride!

I am not a contributor as of yet so I am unable to post pics. However I did strip it down today and made a rough parts list. There is more rust than originally expected but that is why there called projects. Once I get parts ordered and recieved I will start cutting and replacing panels.

There's always more rust than expected! ;D I'm just more likely to call it a pain in the butt than a project. I had nightmares the night before I had mine blasted, that I showed up and the entire thing was barely holding together because of so much swiss cheese. Thank goodness that wasn't the case with mine, but I think I got really lucky.

You can post pics without being a contributor, though it is much easier that way. Here's a link to show you how to do both. http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34373

Nice looking rig! I've got to say that almost without exception I prefer an uncut Bronco. That being said, I've seen just a couple with quarters like your wife's. Instead of a bolt on flare that quarter looks like it was factory stamped. Is that custom fab work or does somebody produce those? Mine is staying uncut, but if I ever find myself with an opportunity to buy one that is really clean but already cut, I'd consider whatever you've got there. Enjoy it!

First off I want to apologize to the PO for the thread jack... The color is Ford platinum white.
The picture doesn't door much justice

The rear flares , I grafted in some fronts to it... She likes the look..as do I , should be road worthy in a week
