Does wilwood make brake kits for the early broncos? I saw a bronco with them and was just curious.

There aren't any bolt-on setups for the fronts that I'm aware of. They do make a nice kit for the 9" rear that fits nicely on the EB. Gives you a 4 piston caliper and an Explorer-style parking brake. Uses larger rotors than the Explorer setup and they have different part numbers to accomodate the different axle flange offsets on our trucks - 2.36" and 2.5".

Wilwood also makes brake pads that fit the common GM calipers that a lot of us use for disk brake conversions. I run the polymatrix D compound myself. A little noisy and makes some dust, but an overall good performing pad.

Slightly different stuff - unfortunately. I had seen those pix over on RDC and checked 'em out awhile back.

1) the TTB knuckles don't work on our straight axles
2) $$$$ that looks very spendy
3) the rotors are solid (OK, swiss cheesed)

I bet that if you paid them they would adapt the knuckles to straight axle.
The cost would likly be more then most of us could afford
I am not sure that there is enough rotor to absorb the heat of some heavy braking.

The rotors look like those used on CORR trucks. Not ideal for a street-going application, imho.

i talked to nate several times on this. the rotor adaptor seems like its going to be the hardess one off part. wilwood doesnt make a 5 on 5.5 rotor mount to go on our hubs.
that truck with the ttb above didnt end up with those rotors. it got a solid rotor but not sure who from and it got wilwood 4piston calipers. i think he had to run atleast a 16in wheel.
as for us ive talked to him about using that rotor adaptor and larger rotor(not sown) and having a caliper mount fabricated to sandwich between the knuckle and spindle. then running the 4 pistion caliper.
it is definately more than a chevy disc convertion, however you can minus the hydroboost cost due to not needing it with the better brakes you would have in my opinion.

was just looking at prices to compare cost of doing something like this verses stock disc converstion with hydrboost aslo.

i jumped to conclusion with my last post by not adding upgrading to a dual m/c from single and adding a proportioning valve. although this would have to be done either way.

for me personally, i would rather end up with really good brakes and no hydroboost, than stock disc with hydroboost.
disc kit from wild horses is 679$ plu another 600$ for hydroboost, when the wilwood setup maybe a 1000$ but no cost of hydroboost or space taken in the engine compartment and multiple hyd lines.
