Another "mystery" wire needing identification please, 1975 Bronco 302, C-4. this little bugger is at the firewall located where the Engine control wires go through the firewall right in the center by the valve cover. It does not go into the engine bay. It is a lone Red wire with yellow tracer. Any Ideas?

Dash side of firewall looks like Brake warning lamp.
Though on a second look at your photo, should that wire be pushed thru grommet to engine side of firewall?

I was thinking that those were for the neutral safety switch coming up from the transmission linkage. I can go check on my 76 tomorrow and let you know for sure if not answered by then.

Oldtimer has it. Either the brake warning lamp, or an un-used high-altitude solenoid for the carb.
Yours is under the dash, but does it continue into the engine compartment?

For the NSS pbets, the four wires are two pairs. With one pair being Red w/blue stripe and Black w/red stripe for the backup lamps. Or is that Red w/black stripes? Hah! I never remember!
But I think they're Black w/red. Oldtimer would have that too.
