Nothing lately. I was giving it some time so I could bring Dad to look at it. Then I will ask about a possible sale again. I still want this thing back!

I'm thinking it's about time to take Dad to go look it over. When we get some free time, I'll do that. ;D

When will that be? ;)

We both work a lot and Super Celebration is coming up, so maybe within the next little while we will get a day to have some free time. I still want this thing to be back home. Just not sure if it can happen. ?:?

That's awesome that you found it! Incredible. Hopefully you get it back in the family because it sure looks like a nice Bronco that has definitely been taken care of. Good Luck! ;D

Thanks. I'm glad the man that restored it cared for it like my Dad did. Dad told me he used to take the tailgate off every year and paint the bottom to keep it from rusting. He really loved this thing. It showed last year when he sold a truck he really liked and said " Of all the vehicles I've sold, this and that maroon Bronco are the only ones I just really hated to see go". He just bought another truck similar to that, so now we need the Bronco!

I have been in the area where this Bronco is several times lately with work, so naturally, I have had it on my mind a lot. Since it was with work, I haven't had the opportunity to stop in and check with the owner.

It may never come back home, but we do still have a part of it. We actually still have the original spare tire from it. One day, I plan to hang it on the wall in the shop and never get rid of it. I do have hope to have the Bronco back someday, but if I don't, I can always appreciate what it started.

Just talked the the owner's wife. She still has it, and I'll be taking Dad to go look at it someday soon just to see it.

I still have hope!

Took Dad to go see it today. He was impressed at how nice it is. As we were leaving, she walked back over and asked me to call her cell phone so she would have my number if she decided to sell. So she is definitely thinking about it. I already know the price will be high, but I have hope!

Way to go Jimmy. I hope this works out for you guys. I bet you guys are chomping at the bit..hoping she will sell it when it's time, and better yet, sell it at a fair price. It's fate that you all will get it back. Awesome story.

That's great news Jimmy. As long as there's a chance at getting it back, then that's all you need. I know your fears about the cost, worrying that it'll be too much, but you just never know. When the PO of my bronco named his price, it was $5k more than I wanted to spend. It was probably $5k more than it was worth. I really struggled with the price, but I also received a lot of VERY encouraging words from this forum. Everyone knew how I felt and they encouraged me to find a way to make it happen. I did make it happen and have never looked back. I don't regret giving the PO what he wanted, I'm just thankful I had the chance. Good luck. I'm sure you'll be keeping us posted. BTW, love the spare tire connection you have. This is a great story!
