Took a 79 Bronco Dana 44 off and getting ready to do a complete rebuild, seals, upgraded axles, locker, new R&P. Then it is going under the son in laws 76.

Dis-reguard the 8 lug D44 on TON of the frame, (short term storage). I took the 5 lug that was under the frame off. Coil cup bolt heads were so rusty that the actual socket did not fit and neither did the next size down hammered on. Grinder time.

I am NOT reusing the 79 radius arms, so I did not care to cut the head off.

I wish i had just a little time to do some small stuff I need to :(

Well get to doing, instead of thinking. Lol
1. Dry erase board in the garage and eye shot EVERY time you walk by it. AKA visual motivation.
2. Date the entries to really make yourself feel bad every time you look at it for more visual motivation.
3. Put on the fridge/office calendar a set aside day to "WORK ON BRONCO". Or just sell it.
4. Put a calendar reminder on your smart phone to "WORK ON BRONCO....OR DIE TRYING".

Hang in there and swing for the fence every damn time. Do not sweat the small stuff, a foul ball is small stuff. At least you swung and HIT it. Get ya some.

Finally got the front end rebuilt and the Duff's suspension on except the rear shocks. Nice to have her standing on all four feet again. Now to bleed the brakes and get the rear shocks on and I can finally fire it up and drive it for a few months. Seems the bushings on the shocks are 1/2 inch and the stud on the frame is 5/8, maybe I'm missing something.

Put it in storage today as I am moving to the coast and need to find covered/enclosed storage before taking it there. My good friend/bronco buddy, Miikee73 offered to take it for now until I get settled in with my move. Thanks Mike! :D

Miikee did a great job of tucking here in for however long I need to find a new home here in Gold Beach.

Yesterday I found/installed the aluminum, weathersealed, toolbox at Lowes. It even has a shock to open and hold the lid when you press the lock button. I have something that fits in the bed. This fits between wheel wells EXACTLY, not even a 1/4" to spare (I have bedliner). Comes with mounting hardware. Its pretty damn sturdy, no, its not secure enough that if you leave truck at trailhead that someone couldnt beat it to pieces eventually, but as far as parking lots and such, they would have to make quite a scene to get it open.
$289.00 at Lowes. Hope this helps anyone looking for some affordable and lockable storage.
