Yesterday I found/installed the aluminum, weathersealed, toolbox at Lowes. It even has a shock to open and hold the lid when you press the lock button. I have something that fits in the bed. This fits between wheel wells EXACTLY, not even a 1/4" to spare (I have bedliner). Comes with mounting hardware. Its pretty damn sturdy, no, its not secure enough that if you leave truck at trailhead that someone couldnt beat it to pieces eventually, but as far as parking lots and such, they would have to make quite a scene to get it open.
$289.00 at Lowes. Hope this helps anyone looking for some affordable and lockable storage.

That is way spiffy! Thanks for passing it along!

Dug an old mud wasp nest out of my frame... To go with the other mud wasp nest and dead mouse that were mummifying in my heater box last year.

No idea how long any of these have been in there, but gotta be at least a few years.

Well Ford, ya did it again! Leadframe failure. Ford had recalls, TSB's, funky "fixes" that weren't fixes but deceptive ways to hide the problem. THAT was on F150's, Excursions and & all vehicles/trucks that had a 6r80.

So as I was putting in a couple more tunes from Garry last week I was in 3rd gear cruising at 60mph and the OSS told the controller that the output shaft wasn't moving. So when you pull up to a stoplight, the output shaft sees no rotation and shifts your tranny into 1st. Well, when the faulty leadframe sends a signal to the controller to shift to 1st gear BUT you are actually moving at 60mph HOLY *&@^$_+#$& HANG ON buddy your tires are locked up and you are sliding all over the road.

So, that's what I was fixing today.

Stay safe people.

IF you have a 6r80 you'd better check into this.

You can see it's almost spotless inside the 6r.

Found an oil pan I never used while going through parts. This one has been on the shelf for a minute.

ssray -- lol

I wish we could post videos! :) I had about 1 1/2"-2" in the pass seat. My console lock wouldn't allow my key to fit in due to the sand in the tumblers until enough sand jiggled out that I could wiggle it in!

The sand drags were a kick in the rear. I just wished my engine hadn't lost it's tune 2 days b4 we left. LUCKLY we were saved by Garry and I could drive it at all since that happened. SOOOooo many guys had fun at the sand drags it will be on the schedule again next year unless something drastic happens.

I didn't mention the sand drags. Even with my engine unable to get any roost off the starting line (full Christmas tree light etc) I still had the fastest speed of the event.

I used to "slosh" the Bronco back and forth in the river to get rid of salt and sand but I think I'll try an oscillating sprinkler today for several hours under it and move it several inches side to side to help flush it as clean as I can.
