Is that Martini livery on the wall? Is there something that goes with it?

Yes, and not really. Just a cool design for the shop I thought. It is a custom made vinyl sticker, just like the Audi R8 LMS car on the wall.

Help on clocking the atlas 2 behind a 6r80 and coyote. This atlas ring has 7 possible holes to use…

Body will have a 2inch lift.

Ideas?

What’s wrong with these pictures? This crate gen3 coyote has dual mass MANUAL flywheel.. most certainly won’t mate up to the TC on this 6r80. I guess I need to order a new 6r80 flywheel for this motor. fun.

Talk to me about clocking this atlas. I have 2 bolts in, this is the closest I can get it flat before hitting the frame.

I’ve read flatter is better? Some folks pushed the tranny to the passenger side to make room for the atlas.

Will have 2in body lift, 2.5 suspension lift.

Should I aim for flat, or close enough?

Occurred to me I’m a Dinkus. I think the TC should be at like 8 o’clock, not 10 o’clock like pictured. How are any of you letting me rock this solo?

Hey, look at that. It’s in the right orientation now.. but same question apply to flatness.

Notch the frame an inch and box it in?

^^^^^ this

Or notch the motor mounts 3/16” back on the drivers side and 3/16” forward on the passenger side and move the trans mount over. The frame notch is probably the only solution with a coyote. Nothing wrong with leaving it below the frame if not wheeling it hard.

I have a question about your flooring. how well does it clean up with high levels of dirt and debris? I know the smooth finishes do well but have always wondered about ones with openings for draining water.

Looks great and I like the notched frame. You will find that with the atlas clocked flat you need to modify the floor near the tunnel a little. Here is mine with the Atlas dead flat between Coyote and 10r80 which is same dimensions at 6r80. I widened my frame by 6" on each side so the pics are prior to the frame rail being re-installed so you can see it better. Body will be coming down 2" from that height as well.

It’s just that center strip that is perforated. I have to get down with the vacuum hose with no attachment right on it to suck out the gunk. The rest I use the broom attachment.

That's sweet. The spare will barely stick out past the rear bumper!

Set the brake hardline and fuel lines to retainer brackets off the frame for no rubbing.

Got both headers on.. need to shave the passenger spring perch, and the driver side frame rail a bit to give the headers a bit more breathing room.

Test fit the atlas shifters.

I think I’m ready to get the body out of storage and try to mate it to the chassis.

Anyone have pics of how they welded in supports for the body/cab to keep it from flexing/bending going up and down the lift? I wager once a roll bar is installed it would keep the body from wanting to fold at the floor pans….

Nice update! Welcome back.

Are those electric parking brakes? That’s slick if it is. What are they off of?

Don’t have any specific pics of the braces, although I know that has been posted many times over the years. So hopefully someone has them.
But it seems strange that the body was built and shipped without them. I would think that they would have them already and every one that I have seen built from scratch has been braced already.
Yours was done locally though, correct? Built on an existing frame, or perhaps their own jig arrangement?
Do you have any bracing at all in yours?

And yes, a full cage would brace it up nicely.
But that comes with its own set of hassles, from having to install it and remove it for painting and other work. As well as setting the cage up so that it doesn’t pull the body into alignment with the cage, rather than letting the body align itself to the frame.
Do you have a cage already? Or is that yet to be determined?

Last question. For now…
Which fuel tank is that? And how is it mounted? Just curious because if it’s got any type of mouth that can come loose, it’ll come down on the fuel line fittings since they go on top of the frame. Some mounting schemes flex, at least a little.
