Thats awesome you're working with Trevor Hall at PMF. We have had his family insured for ages and they are amazing people. His Grandpa Bob just turned 95 and can do it all!

Been a crazy couple years. Happily retired now and getting back into this. Sadly the bronco has not been touched in a year.

Picked up a Supercharged F150
For fun though

Think I got chassis components mocked up and tack welded correctly. Will send the frame out for sandblasting when I return from a summer trip.

I googled and many answers came back to this forum… but let me ask again. Normal for front track width to be wider than rear? Like 1.5in wider?

The front axle is a Currie Dana 44.. the rear is a 31spline HD kit from bcbroncos.

With the wheels mounted I now noticed something looked funny.

Front wheel track is like 1.25 - 1.5 inch wider. What the hell?

How normal is this variance? I can add wheel spacers to the rear if needed.. just wow though.

Many solid axle vehicles were delivered that way from the factory. The most extreme examples I can think of were the 73 to 87 Chevy four-wheel-drive pickups, and the Dana 60 equipped Fords.
Specifically like a 79 F350.
I don’t know what the actual differences were, but it was notable.
Over the years, I think the bronco width difference varied, with some maybe even coming in at the same width. At least that’s what you found when you read the magazine tests over the years. Unless they were using different points of reference, or different factory advertising claims.

But in your case, you can’t guarantee anything because you’ve got your front and rear from two different sources, potentially using different specifications.
Did you just say it was for a bronco and that was that? Or did you have to ask for anything more specific?

And what axle shafts are you using? Doing a certain type of disc brake setup for the front? And what brake offset, or flange offset are your rear axles based on?
Any, or all of those things could be skewing your results.

Good point on the brake flanges.. will get to installing the Wilwood fronts (to match the rears) and see if that narrows or increases the variance. Then as you mention look at the rear axles (moser).. could possibly order a new set a tad longer on each side.
