nvrstuk, what main harness part number do you have (or what kit part number did it come with) - we need to look at it's schematic.

The instructions from Holley for the coil driver is really good, just follow that. Yours wont have those labels I mentioned but the instructions refer to what color output wire from the coil driver goes to what coil. It also has the pins you will need to put into the ecu connector where you currently have plugs.

The diagram for yours is here: https://images.holley.com/271r960a-...8M*MTcxMDU2MjQ1OS4xLjEuMTcxMDU2MjczOC4wLjAuMA

The coil driver wiring instructions are here: https://documents.holley.com/199r10...8M*MTcxMDU2NjA1NS4yLjEuMTcxMDU2NjA4MS4wLjAuMA..

For the cam and crank sensors they are in your ignition connector

CAM and CRANK in the Ignition connector

A30 CRANK (A)
A22 CAM (B)
A14 Ground for both cam and crank (C,G,J,K)

Not wired, but needed if using 3 wire
B20 12V for both cam and crank

Also before you start you engine some configuration changes will need to be made to select waisted spark and setup can/crank.

How & where did you go on the holley site to get that set of instructions for the "550-937" harness # I gave you?

I can't find it unless I use your link. lol

It’s on the page for the 550-937 if you keep scrolling down under tech resources to wiring diagram. Also I always say cly 7 but I believe it could also be cylinder 4.

I am going to move all my questions from this thread that was started last summer by Rusty81. This is his thread and since he's up and running I don't want to just add to it with all my questions, problems, concerns. I am going to link this thread since it's got so much good info and help from yakelys69 and others. Don't want to lose it.

I'm going to move all my Q & A stuff to my build thread because right now there are 3 different threads going and I"m going to lose all the good info you guys have told me and not be able to remember why or where the changes & updates are. lol

I will post up some of that info on my thread so it's easy for me to find if that's ok with anyone following this thread????

Here's my build thread and post #.

This thread and post # 1354.
Term X stuff starts rolling a few pages later as I decide on coil driver, harness, wasted spark, etc

Posting here again because you guys made the Term X work.

I have no spark. I have triple checked every connection. I have 12v at the cam & crank sensors and to my 2 coil packs.

I am about to actually triple check my cam sync stabbing at 185deg BTDC and make sure the half moon is leaving the window (although I've done this twice already) as I am running out of things to check.

No spark on any cylinder... like the coils aren't being triggered by the waste spark coil driver. I tested and it's sending 12v pwr to the coils as there are 4 pwr leads and I only need to use two of them.
I am going to double check gap at my hall effect crank sensor. Using the same one as Yakesly.

All my settings in my ignition parameters in the Term X software are the same as Yakesly.

My software (version 3) doesn't all me to check static timing or cranking speed or at least I can't find the box to click.

Sure appreciate any ideas to double check

I'm still in shock! lol

I'm down to verifying if all coils/plugs are firing or just the two from different coils.

I wasn't getting any spark earlier today and I didn't move a single wire, just unplugged a coil.

Good morning. I’m first going to say wow. This thread is going to save my life. I’m not by any stretch an EFI/engine electronics guy. I’m building a 67 Bronco and have an Explorer 5.0 with the two wire cam sensor. I was told buy someone on here ( I’m sorry I forgot who) to purchase the Holley # 550-1316 because I said I want to use the OEM two coil packs and I’m using the 4R70W trans. With that being said. I’m going to put my hat in my hands and pray someone on here can be patient enough to help walk me through this (what I consider to be) nightmare. After reading these posts I feel like my head is going to explode.
Anyways im getting ready to start laying out my harnesses both the Painless body harness and the Holley terminator. I was made aware that a loom will have to be made to run my OEM coils. What do I need to do to get things ready to start installing this Holley kit?

I was going to finish a complete tech writeup on this TermX instal with Wasted Spark like my 6r tech article because I have found that if I don't include every step (with dozens of pics) then I won't do it right the next time! lol

Time is the factor for no write up yet... I'll help all I can.

Don't get overwhelmed. It's literally step by step, and you'll be okay

Not sure how to post pictures on here using my phone.
You need to become a contributor for a measly 10 or 15 bucks & you can post pics & use the entire sites worth it.
