Nice update! Welcome back.

Are those electric parking brakes? That’s slick if it is. What are they off of?

Don’t have any specific pics of the braces, although I know that has been posted many times over the years. So hopefully someone has them.
But it seems strange that the body was built and shipped without them. I would think that they would have them already and every one that I have seen built from scratch has been braced already.
Yours was done locally though, correct? Built on an existing frame, or perhaps their own jig arrangement?
Do you have any bracing at all in yours?

And yes, a full cage would brace it up nicely.
But that comes with its own set of hassles, from having to install it and remove it for painting and other work. As well as setting the cage up so that it doesn’t pull the body into alignment with the cage, rather than letting the body align itself to the frame.
Do you have a cage already? Or is that yet to be determined?

Last question. For now…
Which fuel tank is that? And how is it mounted? Just curious because if it’s got any type of mouth that can come loose, it’ll come down on the fuel line fittings since they go on top of the frame. Some mounting schemes flex, at least a little.

It’s a Wilwood disk brake kit, front and rear. That is where the electric e brake comes from.

The gas tank is bcbroncos.

Cool. It’s a good tank.
In your case, with the fuel lines right there on top of the frame, I would make sure that, once the body is installed and your final tank height is set permanently, that you weld the tabs in place.
It may never be a problem for your rig if it doesn’t see Off Road action, but it’s a time-honored Tradition in the hard-core group.
Don’t want the tank slipping down and hanging up on the fuel lines.

Did a thing. Dropped the body on the chassis for the first time to check clearances.

Notched the trans tunnel for the atlas is really all that was needed. Needs another 1/4 taken out.

Using stories and reels on instagram mostly as I plod along: @projectcortez
