Well I think I have broken it in, I have a few thousand on it. I just think the radiator is too small to cool the engine. The engine was built with performance in mind so I think it runs warmer than most.

Anyone added a larger radiator to their Bronco? I am out of ideas on how to keep my truck from overheating and am willing to try and install a larger radiator to see if it will help. Has anyone done this or can recommend a radiator that has fit. Thanks guys.

Hey guys, Bronco has been running hot lately, so I checked it out this morning and found black sludge in the radiator. It looks like it is only in the radiator, and only on the top half or less of it. It is stuck to the walls of it (maybe why running hot?) and no where else. Not in the hoses...

Looks like the same old 1405 with the needle seats already in it. I tried everyting to get mine to work, finally gave up and got a Q jet

I had the same problem when I had my engine rebuilt. Seems the pressure was too high and had no where to go except there. Put a breather on the driver side, pcv to the carb on the pass side. Works much better.
