5.0 exploder DIS on EEC-IV swap

Lars, Are you planning on trying to implement EDIS soon? If so, I have another crank sensor you can have, if I can find it. That way, by the time I get the courage up to do the conversion, you'll have already done it & you'll be an old pro. Hint, Hint. SaddleUp, I had Damper Dudes...

    Wild Horses EFI specific tank

Gil, I've been giving some thought to the in-tank pump recently, especially since I recently had a low fuel, pressurized tank, venting problem... Is it possible to add a hose to either an unused port or the return line to make it go to the bottom of the tank? Then if you needed to use it for...

New arb solenoid stuck open? Any ideas?

Try reversing the way the air lines are hooked up to the solenoid...If you read the info that came with the ARB, I think there is a troubleshooting section that mentions this. The compressor should be hooked up to port 1 and the Air Locker should be hooked to port 2 HTH --Craig

UPDATE: Problems with Lincoln Hydroboost fittings!

I used the 5/8 & 11/16 adapters from Speedway Motors, available here, except that they are for flare fittings. I turned a piece on the lathe that resembled the old fitting that I had & drilled out the adapter to accept the new piece. I then brazed the two together & added the o-ring. What I...

UPDATE: Problems with Lincoln Hydroboost fittings!

This is what I found also...that's why I brazed up an adapter to convert to AN...If I had to do it over I would get a different booster, it works fine, just was a pain to figure out the threads/ports... The threads on my booster were IIRC 5/8-18 & 11/16-18...compared to the metric versions 16mm...

UPDATE: Problems with Lincoln Hydroboost fittings!

I also have a lincoln hydroboost and I couldn't find adapter fittings anywhere...after a lot of searching, I gave up & made some to convert to AN fittings. Check this thread Lars turned me on to the speedway motors adapters, but they weren't quite right for my booster I'm not sure about all...

American Bronco Rocker Covers - Who has bought the uncapped?

I have. You can see them uncapped in this picture. I plan on capping them, I just didn't have time before Moab. They were pretty easy to cut using a Grinder with a cut-off wheel...the hardest part was deciding where to cut & at which angle. I cut them so the the flare would go down next...

BC Quarters & Hanson Rockers Here is a pic of the BC quarter panel protectors & Hanson Rockers that I installed just before Moab...I spun a rock into the sheet metal which broke the flare, but the QP protector stopped it from destroying the sheet metal. Pic The hansons are sold by American...

    Hydroboost lines

I doubt it is a metric fitting...they are probably confusing it with the newer type metric o-ring fitting that is like the second link I posted above. I guess this is pretty common on the GM units. Do you have the old lines? If not, try confirming what the threads are by taking a flare nut (I...

    Hydroboost lines

My lincoln Hydroboost had the same type of o-ring fittings...SAE threads, but with the O-rings instead of flared fittings. I looked all over for adapters and couldn't find any. I confirmed what I had from a Lincoln in the junkyard and it had the same o-ring fitting with SAE threads. Anyway...

    Hydroboost with drivers side EFI

I also have the explorer intake & a custom bracket...I posted some pics here... http://www.broncofix.com/viewtopic.php?t=5004&highlight= The slots for the mounting of the bracket to the firewall were added for intake clearance (to shift it towards the driver side as Lars mentioned) Also, I...

    Explorer A/C compressor inlet/outlets

I put a couple o-rings in the recesses that were meant for the stock hoses and made a plate out of aluminum that mounts using the threaded hole between the ports. I went ahead & tapped the aluminum plate using a 3/8" pipe tap (I think, may have been 1/4" MPT). You could use pipe plugs in the...

tfi distributor on a stock flat tappet cam

My EBay Mustang distributor had a larger bore gear than my stock dist. Every other mounting surface, etc. was identical (as far as I could tell) I just took my stock cast iron gear & bored it out (on the lathe) & re-used it. If I remember correctly the shoulders on the gears were slightly...
