    Bed linner removal

I have used a heat gun and scraper to get bedliners up alot....but thats also recently done,(within the last 6 years), bedliner and it is still a hassle. I assume that you are either painting or recoating it with bedliner...? If so then just go to town on it, wire wheel, 40 grit sandpaper on a...

Accident, repair questions and advice sought

agree with the above as you have the right to take it to ANY shop that you want, insurance may try to tell you where to take it but for the sake of your bronco check around local shops and get a feel for where you want to go. I would not go to a ford dealership personally, guys in the body shop...

being a 72 doesnt mean BB 9" and 44 front right off the bat. I could be wrong here,(and I am sure someone will correct me if I am), but it was mid 72 production year when they changed and that OPTION was avail. My 72 has stock axles under it and it is a 30 up front with Small Bearing rear. As...

    Fan ate my radiator...

I was in a lot of deep water holes and I do have a flex fan so I am thinking that I may have found the problem here as my motor mounts all look like they are are in great shape. thanks guys.

    Fan ate my radiator...

didnt even think about checking out my motor mounts. Nice circular pattern on the radiator, pour fluid in and it is out just as fast. I think that I have seen more smaller water pump thus placing the fan towards the motor a little bit more, anyone know if this is out there for ford motors, I...

    Fan ate my radiator...

went wheeling last weekend, had alot of fun and my bronco did great with the exception of wet drums..let to a high speed muddy down hill super bumpy ride / front end off the ground on a bigger bump at the bottom. scared me a bit and figured the day was done to lack of brakes. bronco sat in the...

    Anyone used this product?

I do bedliners all the time without any issues, saw one the other day that i did 3 years ago and it is still holding great and looks good. I have never used any adhesion promoter for a bedliner. I just take 80 grit and go to town on whatever surface is to be lined, red scotchbrite all corners...

    paint prices

Agree with Pflyboy. you get what you pay for. the last side job bronco I did I got $2100 for minimal body work and complete paint, inside and out including bedliner. The only reason it was only 2100 is it a was a friend of a friend kinda deal and he was helping where ever he could. that was just...

    Cooper Discoverer Stt

Personally I love the tread pattern of that tire, it does perform well but for me on my truck they wore out really quick. Going with the toyo M/Ts now and so far so good. Think its my new tire of choice.

getting it out by hand is the easy part....wait untill you are going back up with it! that one scared me a wee bit as i was in the garage doing it with no one home so if it fell I would have been out of luck! not that bad but i would recomend the buddy system at least for the install, you have...

    Transfer Case Removal

just got done pulling my transfer case, it will be easier to remove the at the adapter, just for the re-install part of the operation. if you do it this way then no need to lock into first.

    frame repair

Actually it would be the weakest point in your frame and yes, crumple and send the force of the impact in to the passenger compartment. I see how factory frames bend, move, buckle everyday at work. Yes, EB frames are tough but when you have a 30-40 plus mph impact then it is going to bend metal...

    frame repair

to me it all depends how bad the rot is and how you are actually planning to repair. if you are just getting steel and patching and placing where needed and if you ever get rear ended then the structural integrity of the back half of the frame is shot and you are in some trouble. If you are...

    #2 on the way.

Found a great deal on a 67 today, running chassis with rolled/shot rusted body. I know my wife wont let me have yet another ford project at the moment, but had to check it out anyway. came home and was telling her about it as she walks outside looking for a trailer behind my truck, (done that...

    Getting ready to paint.......but!!

I have put both 'Raptor' and 'Shake and shoot' brand bedliner material in engine bays on a few rigs and havent seen a problem yet. Just make sure that your prep work is done and that stuff sticks to almost anything. I like the 'Shake and shoot' stuff better just for the simple fact that it looks...

    T case install??

pulled my t shift case, rebuilt/cleaned/painted, and now to the going back in. I pulled it behind the adapter and now I am trying to figure out the best way to get all of those stupid roller bearings to stay in place when putting the transfer case back up and doing the normal side to side motion...
