How much Horsepower can the Dana 20 T case take, reliably?

In my opinion, low range is the weak point for the '20. Have you seen how skinny those spur gear teeth are? and the bushings that go between the idler gear and case aren't a very robust design.

Wish I could Howard. Got nieces grad party that weekend... Love those tires! Wish MT still made that tread pattern! I do too. never knew 17.5" wide tires would look so good on Bronco... lol (gotta learn how to do multiple quotes in one post...) Lastly, also helped a newer gen Bronco...

First time Bronco Owner as of yesterday! I have some questions!

Concerning brakes, consider hydroboost instead of a vacuum booster (assuming you have power steering). works much better... And welcome to the forum and the addiction.

Explorer fuel injection or 351 fiteck

Yep, I did same as hankjr. Partedout an Explorer that I found cheap on CL and then searched for 6 mo to a year for the Lightning lower. So much better than carb, especially off road. Highly recommend.

    Type/ location of trans cooler

    4R70W question

I am running the Explorer E.D.I.S. fuel injection on a 351W that EFIGuy set up. So would plugging an OBDII dongle in get some of those questions answered?

    4R70W question

I have a shifting issue with my 4R that started roughly a year ago. If I shift from park or neutral into drive, the truck will start off normally in 1st gear but will not shift into 2nd. I can drop the gear selector into 2nd and it shifts normally. Coming to a stop and then driving, the trans...

Dana 20 with twin sticks - best practice guide

Another thing to consider when playing in the sand is tire pressure. lower is better. Get a bigger footprint for flotation... I'd start at 10-12 psi and see how it goes.
