Anybody running hydro bumps up front?

Welded a riser bracket to my front axle as part of a TRO upgrade and it looks like crowding the space where the pass. side bump stop was. Considering changing to hydro bumps and looking for others experience. Did some forum searches but didn't find too much so far. Please post up any experience...

    Rear Disk Brakes

I did disc brakes up front 1st, hydro 2nd and rear disc 3rd. Definitely do hydroboost before the rear disc. It made an amazing difference, you won't be disappointed.

    Rear Disk Brakes

If you got a medium duty (Torino) rear end, take a look at Explorer rear disc. Pretty much a bolt up operation and parts can be sourced relatively inexpensively...

351w Explorer serpentine w/AC bypass. belt length?

This was the advice I was going to give but I bought 3 at a time and just returned the ones I didn't use saving a trip or so. the part number usually gives clues on belt length (6k870 = 6 rib belt 87 inches long... ) for those who may not know. Good luck, you are going to love the front dress...

Whelp.. Squeal turned into engine torn apart

On my truck my experience was that the Explorer pump can be difficult to prime. Make sure the reservoir outlet is higher than pump inlet. I took the belt off mine and spun the pump only with a spare belt and a drill motor till it primed.

Whelp.. Squeal turned into engine torn apart

Man, you just can't catch a break! :( Drilling it for an easy-out might work but if you break the drill or the easy out, those are real hard to deal with...

5.0 Explore swap to 351W EFI

p.s. BCBroncos made an adapter for a truck lower to car upper. I don't think it flows nearly the same as the Lightning stuff... see link for adapter https://bcbroncos.com/shop/fuel/efi/11-82010-efi-manifold-adapter-351302-for-early-bronco/

5.0 Explore swap to 351W EFI

Do the 351 fuel injected engine (consider a 408 too...wish I had). The engine runs fantastic and fuel injection is so much better, especially off road. Highly recommended! :)

Being an old school guy, I always liked the original movie much better than the remake. Having Big Oly in it is just icing on the cake! :)

What can I expect to pay?

My advice, like others here is a little at a time with drive time in between upgrades. Been building mine for 19 years... hopefully be done in roughly 19 or so more... ;D

    Dash knob questions

There is a roll pin that is pressed in, retaining the threaded stud into the knob. Atleast the ones on my 75 are made that way. might want to soak the whole thing in penetrating oil for a while before trying to work on.

Whelp.. Squeal turned into engine torn apart

If you put a 15 mm socket on the tensioner bolt it should rotate.i'm not sure how much torque it takes but probably 30 ft-lbs or more. Let me know if it's not cooperating.
