393 Stroker what should I use?

Yes I figured I would get it together and see how it runs. Then maybe get it tuned or get a tweecer.

393 Stroker what should I use?

Ya maybe but I'm not too much of a power guy. I'd like to have a little more than I did with the stock 5.8 since I have to rebuild it anyway but the power was ok before. And yes I know the ... well while I have it apart why don't I just to this too... That is why I am now building 3 link front...

393 Stroker what should I use?

I tend to agree I'm not too concerned with weight and the iron heads do seem to have better bang for the buck not considering weight. I was just looking at the World Heads: WRL-053030-1 - Windsor Jr., Iron, 180cc Head, 58cc, 1.94"/1.60" Valves, 1.250" Single Valve Springs (.560"), 7* locks...

393 Stroker what should I use?

Ok thanks. I am trying to keep the motor as budget as possible but at the same time I don't want to have to redo anything later either. I'm looking for something with as much bang for the buck as I can get outta the 393. After I finish everything else I'll have a better idea of what I have to...

393 Stroker what should I use?

I was thinking of an after market iron head like: (around $999 for a pair of assembled heads.) Ford SVO N351 Sportsman Iron Head, Complete -Port Volume: Intake 195cc, Exhaust 78cc -Hardened steel exhaust seats. -3 angle valve job. -Intake and exhaust valves have been moved .070" to unshroud...

393 Stroker what should I use?

I'm set for the drive train. I have D-60's front and rear with a 203/205 doubler and a C-6. I am a little worried about the HP D-60 in the rear with the gears working on the coast side but we will see what happens.

393 Stroker what should I use?

I just found out my '92 351 block got water logged when I moved my Bronco and it was left outside. So a rebuild is in order and I figured I would do a 393 stroker while I'm at it. I still have awhile before the Bronco is ready. I'm working on the 3 link front, body extention, axles...

    Question on a C6 swap...

Anther option is the C6 with the 203/205 doubler. That's what I have in mine but my rear end is back about 10" further than stock and my front end is forward about 2". I was able to clock them both flat with a 3" body lift. I'm not sure how that setup fits in a stock wheel base Bronco but...

    Moving to Colorado

Thanks for the info I'm glad to hear there is no smog at all in Teller. We are looking in the Divide, florissant, and Woodland Park area.

    Moving to Colorado

So it sounds like there is no smog at all in that county even when first registering a vehicle there? I'm not sure I'll be able to pass even a first test since I won't have any of the smog parts on there. Do they just do a sniffer test?

    Moving to Colorado

We were up there about a week ago and we really liked the area. As soon as I can rap things up here and get my house sold we will be on our way. The cost of housing in CA is getting too high for us and I recently got injured at work so I'm getting medically retired within the next few months...

    Moving to Colorado

I'm planning on moving to Colorado in the next 6 months or so. Probably moving to Teller county. Are there any smog, lift or other inspecton laws there I need to be concerned about?

    Chevy caliper

On the calipers with the ebakes you have to turn the cylinder to retract it. There are two little dimples on the face of the piston. You can get a little tool at any auto parts store that has different prongs that fit the dimples. The tool looks like a little cube with different prongs on...

Best tool you used for taking out the floor?

I just used an air chisel to take off my rear quarter panel. It worked great at breaking the spot welds and no damage to the other part except a little hole and dimple where the spot was.

finally cut my rockers this weekend.

I cut mine a while back and used 2x6 to replace them. It sticks out a couple inches to protect the door a little more. I'm in the process of rebuilding just about everything so they are off right now but I liked the looks of it.

    Bronco factory colors? any pictures??

I was just looking for the stock colors myself. I saw a web page with all the colors by year a while back. I thought I saved it but I can't find in now. :(

No doors legal? What about nets?

The people you are talking to may have misunderstood why it is illegal to have the doors off. It can be illegal if your drivers side mirror is on your door and you have no other drivers side mirror. Its a problem with not having mirrors though not the doors.
