want to add power steering GB and pump

Yes as I recall the box splines were different. I bought the U joint I needed from Borg and cut my old shaft and milled it into the D shape needed for the new U joint. It's been a WHILE ago so things might have changed.... Tim

want to add power steering GB and pump

Here' s the box...https://www.borgeson.com/product/P-S-Conversion-66-77-Ford-Bronco.html Not it IS metric fittings so adaptors are needed to plumb it in. I ended up just buying hte hoses from Borg..... I got my box off eBay years ago. All the vendors sell the box above. Other sources as...

want to add power steering GB and pump

I think I can honestly say...it's ALL been tried and in the end...no, no there isn't. :) The Xterra box is the closest but if going that route, I suggest the Borgeson box. I've been running it for years.....no issues with 33's and street driving. If bigger than 33's, the 4x4x2 custom box is...

To EGR or not to EGR on my 5.8. That is the question.

Thanks to clearing that up Todd. I have a 97 upper and it has the holes.......so I was kind of correct :) Tim

To EGR or not to EGR on my 5.8. That is the question.

The gt40p heads have internal passages. The lighting lower has a hole right in the middle which lines up with the hole in the explorer upper. Not sure you can remove the emissions from the ecm's anymore. I'm 99% sure efi_guy stopped touching emissions. Other programmers might still do it...

    Fuel filter

Don't over complacent things.... Run a cheap universal filter beterrn tank and high pressure pump. Then a 10 micron after HP pump. Been doing it for years with an e2000 pump. No issues Tim

Found my miss. What caused this?

Are the plugs fouled again? My money is on leaking intake gaskets.....You don't always see lots of blue smoke. In fact I feel modern oils burn so clean blue smoke is almost never seen. Went through this with my 390FE. Hard to start and liked to miss till warm. Sure enough it was the intake...

    Fan room issues

Speaking form a 74 perspective, The stock radiator mounting leans the radiator towards the engine vs. being straight up and down. I reconfigured the upper mounts so the radiator no longer leans. That gave me room for this fan...

    Old Mustang Fuel Injection

Those lightning lowers are $$$$ you can also use the marine version of the intake. It's cast-iron but can be found cheaper. I run the marine version. Tim

    Bringing down coolant temperature

It needs the bypass for many reasons.....short version, without bypass water can't move till the T-stat opens. Points below..... Prevents hot spots: Without circulation during warm-up, trapped coolant in the closed-off engine can boil or create severe temperature spikes in the cylinder heads...

    Replacing TPS Mustang EFI update

Well my problem came back with new symptoms. Rig would not idle. Idle would hunt then die. I swapped the IAC and the connection is much more secure now. Ran fine for a few days then out of the blue the motor started shutting off when driving. It would cut out for a few seconds then snap...

    M5ODR2 conversion complete

I used the engine plate and flywheel off the stock 302 28oz balance. Stock 302 starter as well. My donor was an automatic E350 van so not much I could use there...... Clutch, I used the LUK diaphragm style (not the 3 fingers that came originally) that was already on my 302...11 inch....it...

Rebuilt roller has cast cam I’m worried.

The stock 87 heads i.e. E7's are good heads. Were used on small blocks through 96. My 96 351w had E7's stock. GT40's are better....GT40P's are even better. Stay away from Mustang cams or E series. Torque curve is not what the Bronco needs. Tim

What affordable 5 speeds work well between a 351W and a Dana 20?

OK went and took some pic's. Lets keep laughter to a minimum as my rig is utilitarian and no where near as nice as 99% of the rigs on here. :) Yes my twin sticks have been shortened. They shift just fine being short. There is 1/2 inch between the D20 and the body support....... Tim

What affordable 5 speeds work well between a 351W and a Dana 20?

Yes....Mine did.....I made a square out of 1 inch tubing and welded on tabs. Mounted that to the floor and then shifter on top of that......I got a pic someplece........Let me fine it.... Tim

What affordable 5 speeds work well between a 351W and a Dana 20?

Based on my m5 install, I say yes a BL is needed. I run a 1 inch BL to help with fitting the 351w. The M5-R2 fit fine and think it would fit without the BL however, with the trans being longer and the addition of the D20 adaptor, The D20 lined up right under a body support, If not for the BL...
