I am considering a 1983 Mustang GT hood scoop for my Bronco. I prefer a rear opening to keep water from pouring on the air cleaner and distributor. I have not seen anybody running this on an early Bronco, thoughts opinions comments?

Just coming from a different horse. I think it will look great. Post some pictures when you have it on the Bronco.

Is the scoop narrow enough to fit on the rise in the hood? I'm thinking that narrow to wide rise on the hood and the reversed narrow to wide of the scoop may look out of place. Or is the scoop the same width front and back? I agree on the rear opening.

It fits nicely and the taper matches the Bronco hood rise. I borrowed a friend's scoop, he unbolted it from his car LOL! I forgot to take a picture but the fit looked great. I am looking for one at a reasonable price, they are not reproduced and run about $125 shipped rom Ebay or elsewhere.

The smaller older brother to that worked out pretty slick on an EB.
Don't know what model it was, but it seems like it was a '66 through '70 thing, or just an aftermarket one patterned after the style you'd see on the Torinos and Mustangs and such.

But it looked halfway decent along with the matte black hood we thought.

That's a 68-69 Torino/68-70 Mustang scoop. I actually have one on the Bronco with the hole up front. Problem with that one is it is not wide enough for an air cleaner bigger than about 10" to stick through.
