I will post some more pictures tomorrow. I had a baby, rebuilt a Scout drive-train/suspension for my father-in-law and hunting season kept me busy over the winter. Spring is here and I am hitting it hard again over the past few weeks. I got my Explorer motor wired and EFI running, surprisingly it is running pretty good without my o2 sensors installed yet. I installed a 1992 Explorer radiator and fan shroud with 99 Explorer radiator hoses after removing the oil cooler and installing the 99 Explorer oil filter neck. Got my 4x4x2 steering box in place and a 78 column, my full size Bronco lower steering shaft arrived Monday and I will figure out where I want to mount all of the steering permanently now. I am going to utilize the factory Explorer shift cable and the factory 78 auto shift column. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Sheesh! You need to write all that in a book somewhere to remember all those different parts working together. Nice job!

I've changed my mind and decided to run an Explorer radiator. Does yours have the lower port that comes straight out or angles down. Any pic's would be great..

LOL, yeah my friend calls it Frankenstein. It also has a NV 3550 dana 20 adapter, Cherokee front drive shaft, F-150 radiator overflow tank/washer tank combo, Chevy dana 44 spindles and calibers with Full Size Bronco hubs/rotors, a 93 Crown Vic MAF sensor, and a 91 Ford Explorer BP sensor.

Here are some engine pictures. I got the seats mounted, cable shifter working and steering column mounted that I did not get a picture of.

Angled down lower radiator port, it is from a 92 Explorer.

Wow, I did not realize how long I had not messed with this project. I built a baby, rebuilt a Scout for my father-in-law, got this Broncos EFI runnig good, and rebuilt a 76 Bronco that had not ran in 20 years and EFIed it also. Now that the 76 bronco is gone I am back in focus.

Anyways, I rounded up a hood and fender used and some 38x14.50 Swamper Radials. I stripped my front clip to bare metal and shaved my side marker lights. Sanded and body filled over and over and over and sprayed an epoxy primer yesterday on most of the body. I am going to finish priming the grill, dash, hood and windshield frame Monday. Then it will be back to block sanding the epoxy, spraying the high build primer only to block sand it before finally getting to spray the Fire Engine Red.

Wet sanded with 800, 1000, 1500, then 2000. Rubbing compound two times with a white foam pad, swirl remover two times with a black pad, polish with a blue pad once, hand polished with a finishing polish once, and then waxed it. All in two short days which I did not think was that bad.

It passed a 55mph country road drive last week with flying colors. This things handles great and steering is tight with the complete new suspension and hiem steering. I would not of thought 38 swampers radials could drive so good. I am sure the city I live in did not appreciate 3500 rpm's and open headers though. Muffler shop this week and hopefully blinkers, brake lights, and a radio.

I had a guy that saw a local Bronco buddy of mines Bronco and said he was looking for a Bronco and he got my number. Called me and came and looked at it, it was 6' in the air on my lift with the axles torn apart while I was doing a gear swap. He fell in love with it and we agreed on $14000, he then handed me $5000 cash deposit and said call me when its done! So in the past 2 weeks I finished the gears, got blinkers, back up, windshield wipers, heater, flashers, and horn working, got exhaust done, installed back seat and seat belts, and parking break.
Sad to see it go, but made good money. Now going to pay my truck off this morning, pay off some other debts, and heading on vacation with the family.

Congratulations, and very nice job on the build. Lucky new owner, and I think he got a steal.
