My 74 came without a horn and to further complicate matters, I switched to a 75 steering column and steering wheel a few years back. My question concerns the horn switch and how it connects to the 75 steering wheel. Under the horn pad on the steering wheel, I have two wires with connectors/terminals on each but only have one terminal on the steering wheel. Do both leads connect to the same terminal on the steering wheel? I also have no power coming into the column horn wire (blue yellow) and can’t seem to find the horn relay under the dash. I’m guessing power comes to the relay and then out to the horn switch or is the switch in the pad completing the a circuit as a ground?

Everything works on my bronco but for the horn so I’m trying to track this down.

If everything in the steering column is correct with the new steering wheel, you should just have to add a Horn Relay, mine was the same way, 1 wire from the Battery,1 wire from 12v and your yellow Blue coming out of the column which I think is the ground trigger. Painless should have a diogram on thier web site. Hope this helps you out.

TKS 69,

Do both the wires form the horn switch connect to the one terminal on the steering wheel or am I missing a post on the wheel?

Checked out the Painless site and they do show teh wiring but not the switch to the wheel.

Your turn signal switch with the horn contacts is wrong. It should only have one contact. The horn relay is up near the starter solenoid. The blue-yellow wire needs to ground to energize the relay and blow the horn.
